Work Year and Vacations. A. The work year for Unit members shall be July 1 to June 30. Unit members, beginning with the first day of attendance for teachers and ending with the last day of attendance for teachers in a school year, shall follow the school calendar. Days during which schools are closed during this period (i.e., the school calendar) shall be considered as holidays, except emergency school closing days which shall be considered regular workdays. Independence Day and Labor Day shall be considered as holidays.
