Working during Pregnancy. In the event that an employee becomes incapable of carrying out the essential duties of her position, the Company and the Union have a common obligation to try to adjust the tasks and work shifts to her situation or to find her a temporary and more convenient position within the Company.

Working during Pregnancy. The Company cannot require a Pilot to take leave in case of pregnancy unless she is no longer able to perform an essential function of her position. A Pilot with six (6) months continuous service shall be entitled to unpaid maternity leave for a maximum period of nineteen (19) weeks. Such leave shall be in the form of a single period, beginning no earlier than eleven (11) weeks before the expected delivery date and ending no later than nineteen (19) weeks after the maternity leave takes effect. The pregnant Pilot shall submit a written notice to the Company stating the date on which she desires to start her leave and her duration. This notice shall be given at least one Month before the Pilot's departure and shall be accompanied by a medical certificate from the attending physician stating the expected delivery date. The leave may be terminated earlier, subject to four (4) weeks prior written notice. The leave identified in Section above may end earlier at the written request of the Pilot.

  • Rejection During Probation (a) The Employer may reject any probationary employee for just cause. A rejection during probation shall not be considered a dismissal for the purpose of Clause 10.4. The test of just cause for rejection shall be a test of suitability of the probationary employee for continued employment in the position to which they have been appointed, provided that the factors involved in suitability could reasonably be expected to affect work performance.

  • Work During Vacation Should an employee who has commenced his scheduled vacation and agrees upon request by the Hospital to return to perform work during the vacation period, the employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times his basic straight time rate for all hours so worked. To replace the originally scheduled days on which such work was performed, the employee will receive one (1) vacation lieu day off for each day on which he has so worked.

  • Employee leaving during notice period An employee given notice of termination in circumstances of redundancy may terminate their employment during the period of notice. The employee is entitled to receive the benefits and payments they would have received under this clause had they remained in employment until the expiry of the notice, but is not entitled to any payment in lieu of any remaining notice.
