WSCH/FTEF Growth Formula. Weekly Student Contact Hours per Full-Time Equivalent Faculty (WSCH/FTEF) ranges represent the conditions upon which the full-time faculty and part-time salary schedules (Appendix A, B and C) are increased as the District receives additional state revenue, the calculation of which is based on earned and funded growth percentage and a growth multiplier factor. Application of the calculated percentage occurs on the salary schedule in the school year subsequent to the year in which the growth is earned. In a budget year where there is growth funding from the State, the District will calculate the previous year’s WSCH/FTEF ratio, excluding non-credit classes and Summer classes and also excluding the following programs from the calculation: ASL, AH, DEAF, INT, LSP, NURS, PTA, and RT. The District will report both the WSCH/FTEF ratio and the growth funding percentage to the UFO in a timely manner, and the percent increase to the salary schedule will be calculated as shown in the table below (where x represents the value of the growth percentage funded by the State). The District agrees to implement the growth calculation, for as long as the current contract language remains unchanged.
