Exhibition of motor vehicles. Vehicles with an internal combustion engine may only be exhibited in the halls with MESSE ESSEN GmbH's acceptance. The exhibitor must rule out unintentional or willful movement of the vehicles. The content of the fuel tank in the vehicles must be reduced to the minimum required in order to enter and exit the site (the reserve light on the fuel indicator must be on). The fuel tank cap must be locked if possible. Depending on the event and the location of the exhibit, additional safety measures may be required, such as the inertisation of the fuel tank, the disconnection of the batteries and/or the provision of security guards. In the case of vehicles with alternative drive technology, such as electric or hybrid drives, the drive batteries must be disconnected from the drive by means of the safety disconnect switch (main switch). Charging processes in the halls are not permitted. In the case of gas-powered vehicles, the pressure tank must have been emptied.
