Acceptable alternative employment definition

Acceptable alternative employment means employment that is overall on no less favourable terms and conditions and with recognition of all prior service with The Reject Shop.
Acceptable alternative employment means an offer of employment in which the terms and conditions are defined by this agreement or when considered on an overall basis are substantially similar and no less favourable than the terms and conditions defined by this agreement. For the purposes of this clause acceptable alternative employment shall mean a location within a 20km radius of the affected employee’s current workplace. However, leave is reserved for the parties to discuss inter-company transfers in the event of a suitable opportunity arising which is in excess of this benchmark;

Examples of Acceptable alternative employment in a sentence

  • Acceptable alternative employment will depend on the circumstances of each case but may include a position of equivalent status (ie full time) and at least of equivalent job level within the Resort or another business (including a business operated by another Employer).

Acceptable alternative employment for the purposes of sub clause 21B (e) means: “where the offer of employment is substantially similar and no less favourable than the terms and conditions applicable to an employee at the time of ceasing employment with the Company”.
