AFL Competition definition

AFL Competition means the Australian football competitions conducted by AFL and includes the Pre-Season Competition, the AFL Premiership Season and the AFL Finals Series. AFL Digital Media Properties means all online and mobile properties developed or published by AFL for consumption on the AFL Telstra Network and/or for third party websites and mobile applications. AFL Finals Series means the series of Matches played at the conclusion of the AFL Premiership Season to determine the premier AFL Club in each AFL Season or any like successor competition howsoever titled.
AFL Competition means the premier men’s Australian football competitions conducted by AFL and includes the AFL Pre-Season Competition or AFL Practice Matches (if held), the AFL Premiership Season and the AFL Finals Series. AFL Consumer Products Department means the AFL department that runs the AFL Licensing Program. AFL Digital Media Properties means all online and mobile properties developed or published by AFL for consumption on the AFL Telstra Network and/or for third party websites and mobile applications. AFL Finals Series means the series of AFL Matches played at the conclusion of the AFL Premiership Season to determine the premier AFL Club in each AFL Season or any like successor competition howsoever titled. AFL Forecasts means the financial forecasts for the period 1 November 2022 to 31 October 2027 prepared by AFL detailing forecast revenue and forecast operating expenditure of AFL for the period and forecast revenue of the Clubs for the period. AFL Free Agency Rules means the rules relating to the movement of AFL Players between Clubs in certain circumstances as agreed by AFL and AFLPA and set out in Annexure C and any variation to those rules. AFL Free Agent means a AFL Player who is deemed to be a free agent under the AFL Free Agency Rules. AFL Gather Round means the round of the AFL Season where all AFL Matches in that round are played within the same State, with most of the AFL Matches played in one city (e.g. South Australia and Adelaide respectively as at the date of this Agreement).
AFL Competition means the elite Men’s competition conducted by the AFL consisting of the Premiership Season, the Finals Series and the Pre-Season Competition; AFL Grand Final means the last of the Finals Series Matches played in each AFL Season to determine the most successful AFL Club in the AFL Competition; AFL Season means the period in each year of the Term commencing with the first Match of the Pre-Season Competition and ending with the last Finals Series Match in that year; AFL Rules and Regulations means the AFL Rules and the AFL Regulations as approved by the Commission from time to time; ;

Examples of AFL Competition in a sentence

  • AFL Competition: the Matches conducted by or under the auspices of the AFL.

  • A Tier 1 League may enter into an agreement with the AFL concerning the Transfer of players from that Tier 1 League to the AFL Competition.

  • A player who is delisted by an AFL Competition Club who returns to play for a Club of the Tier 1 League from which the player was drafted will be bound by any applicable Transfer Regulations and registration rules of that Tier 1 League if player desires to play football for a Club of that Tier 1 League other than the Club with which the player was registered at the time of delisting.

  • Where a player is delisted as an AFL Primary Listed Player or AFL Rookie Listed Player and becomes an AFL Rookie Listed Player of another AFL Competition Club for the following AFL Competition season that player shall be regarded as having continuous AFL Competition registration.

  • Upon registration with the AFL Competition Club, the player may interchange with a Tier 1 League Club at the discretion of the player’s AFL Competition Club provided that such interchange conforms to applicable Transfer Regulations of the Tier 1 League concerned.

  • Any Suspension period served by a Player during their AFL Competition career shall carry over to non-AFL Competitions.

  • Club Licence Agreement: an agreement between the Club and the AFL whereby the Club is granted the right to field a team in the AFL Competition.

  • AFL Rules and Regulations: means any rule, regulation, code, agreement or guideline made by the AFL that relates to the administration of the AFL Competition and includes without limitation these AFL Rules, the AFL Regulations, the AFL-AFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement, AFL Standard Player Contracts, the AFL Articles of Association, the AFL Memorandum of Association and the AFL-AFL Umpires’ Association Collective Agreement.

  • Players shall be automatically deregistered and not allowed further registration with the same or another Club or League (except in accordance with section 3.3) if the Player has served a combined total of sixteen (16) matches Suspension (or greater) as a Player or Official (including as a Player during the Player’s AFL Competition career, subject to section 3.2.2(c) below) as a result of Reportable Offences only.

  • Should a player be listed as an AFL Primary Listed Player by an AFL Competition Club located in a State different to that player’s Tier 1 League Club, they may play with a Tier 1 League Club in that State (i.e. the new State).

AFL Competition means the Australian football competitions conducted by AFL and includes the Pre-Season Competition, the AFL Premiership Season and the AFL Finals Series. AFL Forecasts means the financial forecasts for the period 1 November 2016 to 31 October 2022 prepared by AFL detailing forecast revenue and forecast operating expenditure of AFL for the period and forecast revenue of the AFL Clubs for the period. AFL Intellectual Property means all registered and unregistered trademarks and brand names, designs and copyright and other industrial and intellectual property of AFL and each of the AFL Clubs including, without limitation, all playing uniforms, on-field uniforms, AFL Club shield logos, AFL Club caricatures, AFL Club nicknames, all AFL logos and all audio and visual recordings of AFL Matches and events, including photographs taken under AFL media accreditation. AFL Licensing Activities means Licensing Activities conducted by the AFL Consumer Products Department or a Licensee which incorporate Intellectual Property. AFL Licensing and Commercial Operations Guidelines means the licensing guidelines agreed between AFL and AFLPA contained in Schedule D and any variation to such guidelines. AFL Match or Match means any football match played between or directly or indirectly involving any AFL Club including without limitation any practice match, trial match, representative match or Exhibition Match, and State of Origin Match.
AFL Competition means the Competition referred to in Recital A and including the Ansett Australia Cup, the AFL Premiership Season, the AFL Coca Cola Finals Series.

Related to AFL Competition

  • Non-Competition Period means the period the Executive is employed by the Company plus one (1) year from the Termination Date if the Executive's employment is terminated (i) by the Company for any reason, (ii) by the Executive for any reason, or (iii) by reason of either the Company's or the Executive's decision not to extend the term of this Agreement as contemplated by Section 1 hereof.

  • Noncompetition Period has the meaning set forth in Section 9.01.

  • Competitions means any competition comprised within the Event where the winner is awarded a prize. A Competition may be comprised of one or more qualification phase/sections, runs or heats, including official training sessions. In the FIS Rules, Competitions are sometimes also referred to as “races”.

  • Non-Competition Agreement has the meaning set forth in Section 2.1 of this Agreement.

  • Competition or “Competitions” means any competition comprised within the Event where the winner is awarded a prize.   • Noncompetition Agreement has the meaning stated in Section 2.1.

  • Non-Compete Period means the period commencing on the Effective Date and ending twelve months after the earlier of the expiration of the Employment Period or the Executive’s Date of Termination.

  • Generic Competition has the meaning set forth in Section 7.4.3.

  • Noncompetition Agreements as defined in Section 2.8(a)(iv). "Occupational Safety and Health Law"--any law or regulation designed to provide safe and healthy working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, and any program, whether governmental or private (including those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.

  • Covenant not to compete means an agreement:

  • Non-Compete Agreement means that certain Non-Compete Agreement between the Company and the Executive in substantially the form attached hereto as Exhibit B.

  • Compete means to provide Competitive Services, whether Employee is acting on behalf of himself/herself, or in conjunction with or in concert with any other entity, person, or business, including activities performed while working for or on behalf of a Customer.

  • Disparagement means making comments or statements to the press, the Company’s or its Affiliates’ employees, consultants or any individual or entity with whom the Company or its Affiliates has a business relationship which could reasonably be expected to adversely affect in any manner: (a) the conduct of the business of the Company or its Affiliates (including, without limitation, any products or business plans or prospects); or (b) the business reputation of the Company or its Affiliates, or any of their products, or their past or present officers, directors or employees.

  • Noncompete Period shall have the meaning set forth in Section 9.

  • Competitive employment means work in the competitive labor market that is performed on a full-time or part-time basis in an integrated setting and for which an individual is compensated at or above the minimum wage, but not less than the customary wage and level of benefits paid by the employer for the same or similar work performed by individuals who are not disabled.

  • Non-Compete Term means in the case of termination for any reason, the period from the Effective Date to the date ending 2 years following the date of termination.

  • Non-Compete Agreements shall have the meaning provided in Section 5.05.

  • Further Competition Procedure means the further competition procedure described in paragraph 3 of Framework Schedule 5 (Call Off Procedure);

  • Prior Employment Agreement has the meaning set forth in the recitals hereto.

  • Restrictive Period means the period beginning on the Effective Date and ending two (2) years after the termination of the Executive’s employment hereunder.

  • Post-Employment Period is defined in Section 8.2.

  • Employment Agreement means each management, employment, severance, consulting, relocation, repatriation, expatriation, visas, work permit or other agreement, or contract between the Company or any Affiliate and any Employee.

  • Competitive Activity will not include (i) the mere ownership of securities in any such enterprise and the exercise of rights appurtenant thereto or (ii) participation in the management of any such enterprise other than in connection with the competitive operations of such enterprise.
