Bona fide means a licensed fishing boat marked with its licensed fishing boat number, with a fishing crew who hold commercial fishing licences;
Bona fide employee means a person, employed by a bidder and subject to the bidder's supervision and control as to time, place, and manner of performance, who neither exerts, nor proposes to exert improper influence to solicit or obtain contracts nor holds out as being able to obtain any contract(s) through improper influence.
FMLA Leave means a leave of absence, which the Company is required to extend to an Employee under the provisions of the FMLA.
Family leave means a leave of absence from employment for one (1) of the following reasons:
(1) The serious illness of an eligible employee; or
(2) the serious illness of a member of an eligible employee’s immediate family. Family Leave, by itself or in combination with statutory Parental Leave (as opposed to contractual parental leave), may not exceed twelve (12) weeks in a twelve (12) month period beginning with the first day either type of leave is used. Leave taken under this Agreement will be credited against any such statutory entitlement to the full extent permitted by law.
Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.
parental bereavement leave means leave under section 80EA of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
Paid leave means time away from work by an employee for which the employee receives compensation. Paid leave is limited to sick time, vacation time, compensatory time, and leave that is provided as an aggregate amount for use at the discretion of the employee for any of these purposes. Paid leave does not include paid short-term or long-term disability, catastrophic leave, or similar types of benefits.
Parental leave means leave to bond and to care for a newborn child after birth or to bond and care for a child after placement for adoption or xxxxxx care, for a period of up to sixteen (16) weeks after the birth or placement.
Approved Leave of Absence means a leave of absence that has been approved by the applicable Participating Company in such a manner as the Board may determine from time to time.
Bona Fide Offer means an actual or genuine offer which includes a specific wage or a training opportunity at a specified place when used to determine whether the parent has refused an offer of training or employment.
paternity leave means a period of absence from work on leave by virtue of section 80A or 80B of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
maternity leave means a period during which a woman is absent from work because she is pregnant or has given birth to a child, and at the end of which she has a right to return to work either under the terms of her contract of employment or under Part 8 of the Employment Rights Act 1996;
Medical leave means leave from work taken by a covered individual that is made neces-
Annual Leave and Clause 6.3 “Personal (Sick) Leave” of this Agreement.
Garden Leave means any period during which the Company has exercised its rights under clause 22;
Leave means authorized absence from duty by an employee during his or her regular or normal hours of work;
Bona Fide Request (BFR) is the process described in the applicable Appendix UNE.
Bona Fide Request (BFR) means the process described in Attachment 08 – Bona Fide Request (BFR).
Bona fide agency, as used in this clause, means an established commercial or selling agency, maintained by a contractor for the purpose of securing business, that neither exerts nor proposes to exert improper influence to solicit or obtain Government contracts nor holds itself out as being able to obtain any Government contract or contracts through improper influence.
Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.
Bad Leaver means, unless otherwise specified herein, (i) the Owner's ceasing to be a member of the executive management or an employee of the Company or a subsidiary due to the Owner being dismissed because of the Owner's breach of the employment relationship or (ii) the Owner's ceasing to be an employee of the Company or a subsidiary due to being dismissed during the probationary period applicable to the Owner or not being offered continuous employment after the expiry of the probationary period applicable to the Owner. The Owner’s employment shall in case of dismissal be deemed ceased at the time the notice of termination served by the Company or a subsidiary to the Owner expires.
Pregnancy Leave means leave taken for purposes related to giving birth and/or recovering therefrom.
Bona fide member means an individual who participates in activities of a qualified organization
Bona fide physician-patient relationship means a treatment or counseling relationship between a physician and patient in which all of the following are present:
Authorized leave of absence means an unpaid, temporary cessation from active employment with the Employer pursuant to an established nondiscriminatory policy, whether occasioned by illness, military service, or any other reason.
Sick Leave means the period of time an employee is absent from work by virtue of being sick or disabled or because of an accident not covered by Workers' Compensation.
