Critically ill child means a child who has a life-threatening illness or injury that can include various acute phases of illness and for which continued parental care and support is required and for whom the Employee would be eligible for Leave for Parents with Critically Ill Children benefit under Employment Insurance legislation.
Critically ill child care leave will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Employment Standards Act, 2000, as amended from time to time.
