Ethnic Minority Planning Framework definition

Ethnic Minority Planning Framework means the framework dated November 13, 2009 adopted by XXX and referred to in paragraph 3 of Section I.C of Schedule 2 to this Agreement which sets forth the policies and procedures to ensure meaningful consultation with, and the informed participation of, ethnic minority of Central North Provinces in Project activities, and to prepare Ethnic Minorities Development Plans as may be required during implementation of the Project.
Ethnic Minority Planning Framework or “EMPF” means the indigenous peoples planning framework for the Project, including any update thereto, prepared and submitted by the Borrower and cleared by ADB;
Ethnic Minority Planning Framework and the acronym “EPF” mean the Framework adopted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade pursuant to its Decision No.4456/Q -BCT of August 13, 2008, and referred to in paragraph D.3, Section I of Schedule 2 to this Agreement; said Framework establishing principles and procedures for the preparation and implementation of ethnic minority development plan or plans, as may be necessary, in connection with the construction and operation of each Sub-project, to ensure: (i) meaningful consultation with and the informed participation in Project activities of ethnic minority communities in the Sub-project area; and (b) Project benefits for said communities which are culturally appropriate and socially inclusive.

  • In such cases, and when the Bank’s screening indicates that ethnic minorities are likely to be present in, or have collective attachment to, the project area, but their presence or collective attachment cannot be determined until the programs or sub-projects are identified, the borrower prepares an Ethnic Minority Planning Framework (EMPF).

Ethnic Minority Planning Framework means the Ethnic Minority Planning Framework dated February 2007, incorporated into the PPA Manual, and adopted by HIFU pursuant to its Board of Management’s Decision 662/Q -H QL of April 16, 2007; said Framework sets out: (i) the policies and procedures to ensure meaningful consultation with, and the informed participation of, ethnic communities within the area of any eligible Sub-project under Part I of the Project who are affected by such Sub- project, and (ii) the principles for the preparation of ethnic minorities development plans as may be required during the implementation of such Sub-project; as said Framework may be revised from time to time with the prior concurrence of the Association.
