Ethnic Minorities. The parties have agreed to work, both centrally and locally, to arrange conditions so that ethnic minority groups will to a greater extent elect to take jobs in industry. For this reason the local parties should therefore discuss enterprise-related problems connected with recruiting minority groups, such as practical arrangements and general attitudes.
Ethnic Minorities. 44. In case that any ethnic minorities in the Project areas will be affected by any Subproject, the concerned Local Governments and the concerned IA(s) shall ensure that (i) an EMDP be prepared according to the requirements of the EMDF; (ii) benefits target ethnic minorities in the Project areas in accordance with ADB's Policy on Indigenous Peoples; (iii) works contract specifications include requirements to comply with EMDF and as a priority provide employment to ethnic minorities; and (iv) adequate staff and resources be committed to supervising and monitoring the implementation of EMDF and progress, if any, be reported to ADB on a semi-annual basis; (v) the EA engage an external independent monitoring agency acceptable to ADB to monitor the implementation of the EMDP semi-annually and submit the monitoring report to ADB; (vi) the statistics of the monitoring data be conducted by gender and the monitoring report and the monitoring data include analysis on social impacts by gender.
Ethnic Minorities. The Recipient shall ensure that Subprojects do not adversely affect ethnic minorities. In particular, the Project shall be carried out in accordance with the ethnic minorities development framework, as agreed between the Recipient and ADB. The Recipient shall ensure that no Subprojects with significant adverse impacts on ethnic minorities are financed under the Project. For Subprojects in which ethnic minorities are present and affected, an ethnic minorities development plan shall be prepared in accordance with the ethnic minorities development framework. The Recipient shall ensure that, measures to improve the welfare of ethnic minorities are built into the overall Subproject design where the indigenous peoples population exceeds 60% and no negative impact on such ethnic minorities is expected.
Ethnic Minorities. The Borrower shall cause the PPC, Phu Tho and the PPC, Xxxx Xxx to ensure that the Project does not have any ethnic minorities' impact, all within the meaning of the SPS. In the event the Project does have any such impact, PPC, Phu Tho and PPC, Xxxx Xxx shall take all steps required to ensure that the Project complies with the applicable laws and regulations of the Borrower and with the SPS.
Ethnic Minorities. The Borrower shall, through MARD:
Ethnic Minorities. MOLISA shall ensure that (i) Project design and implementation includes measures to increase access to VET for ethnic minorities through the selection of vocational institutions in areas with a high proportion of ethnic minority groups, including Central Highlands and North-east Region; (ii) the needs of the ethnic minorities are appropriately met in vocational training; and (iii) all activities are consistent with the Borrower's Law on Vocational Training (2006), and ADB's Policy on Indigenous Peoples (1998).
Ethnic Minorities. The biggest minority group in Croatia is the Serbian minority.20. The Bosniak minority group is rather small (0.47% in Croatia) but most of them live in the programming area. Relations between Croats and Serbs have been tensed and difficult during the nineties, but the situation has somewhat improved since the beginning of the new century21. The ethnic structure in B&H is complex. B&H consists of three constituent nations: Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats. Relations of those constituent nations have been, and continue to be a main challenge for the stability and development of the country. The biggest national minority in B&H is the Roma minority.
Ethnic Minorities. The Borrower shall ensure that the PPMUs undertake social analysis for all the Subprojects. Based on the social analysis, the Borrower shall ensure that an EMDP shall be prepared and implemented for Project Provinces where ethnic minorities form more than 50% of the beneficiaries. The Borrower, MARD and PPCs shall ensure that (a) full participation of ethnic minorities is promoted in Project activities, including, among other things, the capacity development and training activities; (b) the needs of the ethnic and religious minorities are appropriately met, especially in the areas with a high proportion of ethnic minority people; (c) the WSCCs have reasonable representation from the ethnic minority groups; and (d) all activities are consistent with ADB’s Policy on Indigenous Peoples.
