Extended Outage Period definition

Extended Outage Period means a period of 90 or more consecutive days over which a PVNGS electric generating unit is shut down. The Extended Outage Period shall commence on the day the electric generating unit is shut down and shall terminate on the day the electric generating unit has resumed full power generation. For purposes of this Section 5, “full power” means operation of a PVNGS electric generating unit at or near maximum generation with consideration for ambient temperature, regulatory requirements, and equipment conditions.
Extended Outage Period has the meaning set forth in Section 4.5.1(b).
Extended Outage Period has the meaning assigned to such term in Section 6.4(a).

Examples of Extended Outage Period in a sentence

  • Based on the totalizer readings taken pursuant to Section 5.1.3.3, pursuant to Section 5.1.3.2, the Representative Usage for the Unit 1 Extended Outage Period would be calculated by taking the average Effluent usage of the two remaining PVNGS electric generating units operating at full power (i.e., Units 2 and 3) over that same period, or 8,225 AF [(8,220 AF + 8,230 AF) ÷ 2].

  • Therefore, pursuant to Section 5.1.3.6, 10 percent of that portion of the Non-Usage Fee attributable to that part of the Extended Outage Period extending from November 16 through December 31, 2028 must be credited against the Non-Usage Fee payable in 2029.

  • However, because only 45 days had passed, the outage was not treated as an Extended Outage Period and, as a result, the Palo Verde Participants paid the higher 30 percent Non-Usage Fee on that portion of the outage extending from November 16 through December 31.

  • That portion of the Non-Usage Fee for any part of the Extended Outage Period extending from January 1 of the year immediately following the year in which the Extended Outage Period commenced shall be determined in accordance with Section 5.1.3.5, above.

Related to Extended Outage Period

  • Planned Outage means the removal of equipment from service availability for inspection and/or general overhaul of one or more major equipment groups. To qualify as a Planned Outage, the maintenance (a) must actually be conducted during the Planned Outage, and in Seller’s sole discretion must be of the type that is necessary to reliably maintain the Project, (b) cannot be reasonably conducted during Project operations, and (c) causes the generation level of the Project to be reduced by at least ten percent (10%) of the Contract Capacity.

  • extended reduction period means the period for which a person is in receipt of an extended reduction in accordance with paragraph 89, 96 or 101;

  • Excused Outage means any disruption to or unavailability of Services caused by or due to (i) Scheduled Maintenance,

  • Unplanned Outage refers to the unavailable status of the units of the Power Plant other than Planned Outage. Based on the urgency of the needs of outage, the Unplanned Outage can be classified into five categories: (1) immediate outage; (2) the outage which could be delayed for a short while but the units must exit within six hours; (3) the outage which could be postponed over six hours but the units must exit within seventy-two hours; (4) the outage which could be deferred over seventy-two hours but the units must exit before the next Planned Outage; and (5) the prolonged outage which is beyond the period of the Planned Outage.

  • Scheduled Outage has the meaning given to it in the Grid Code;

  • Generator Planned Outage means the scheduled removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit for inspection, maintenance or repair with the approval of the Office of the Interconnection in accordance with the PJM Manuals.

  • Forced Outage means any unplanned reduction or suspension of the electrical output from the Facility resulting in the unavailability of the Facility, in whole or in part, in response to a mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic control system trip or operator-initiated trip in response to an alarm or equipment malfunction and any other unavailability of the Facility for operation, in whole or in part, for maintenance or repair that is not a scheduled maintenance outage and not the result of Force Majeure.

  • Generator Forced Outage means an immediate reduction in output or capacity or removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit by reason of an Emergency or threatened Emergency, unanticipated failure, or other cause beyond the control of the owner or operator of the facility, as specified in the relevant portions of the PJM Manuals. A reduction in output or removal from service of a generating unit in response to changes in market conditions shall not constitute a Generator Forced Outage.

  • Extended Period As defined in Section 9.04(b).

  • Unscheduled Outage means any outage that is not a “Scheduled Outage”. “Committed Time” shall mean, as to each Business Day, one hour before the trading session for that day is scheduled to open on the NYSE and one hour after the trading session on the NYSE for that day finally closes, but excluding the following periods of Scheduled Outage (defined below). A “Scheduled Outage” shall mean (1) those time periods from 12 AM Saturday to 6:00 AM Sunday each week and 11:00 PM to 12:00 AM daily, during which Computershare’s System maybe unavailable due to routine maintenance; and (2) any time period as to which Company has received prior notice. ≥99.5% <99.5% to ≥98% <98%

  • Peak Period means the time between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. (April through September) or between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. (October through March) on all days except Saturdays and Sundays, which daily time period will be subject to change from time to time at the Company's option. This change would occur after no less than ten (10) days notice has been given to all Customers who would be affected, and to the Commission.

  • Extended Use Period means the period beginning on the 1st day in the compliance period on which such building is part of a qualified low-income housing project, and ending on the later of the date specified by such agency in such agreement, or the date which is 15 years after the close of the compliance period.

The Curtailment Period shall be inclusive of the time required for the Project to ramp down and ramp up; provided that such time periods to ramp down and ramp up shall be consistent with the Ramp Rate designated in the Cover Sheet.

  • Extended Reporting Period means a designated period of time after a claims-made policy has expired during which a claim may be made and coverage triggered as if the claim has been made during the policy period.

  • Minimum Hire Period means the Minimum Hire Period as described on the invoices, quotation, authority to hire, or any other forms as provided by the Supplier to the Client.
