Government Bodies definition

Government Bodies means any regional state organ financed totally or partly by the regional government budget;
Government Bodies means any (i) nation, state, county, city, town, borough, village, district or other jurisdiction, (ii) federal, state, local, municipal, foreign or other government, (iii) governmental or quasi-governmental authority of any nature (including any legislature, agency, board, bureau, branch, department, division, commission, court, tribunal, magistrate, justice or other entity exercising governmental or quasi-governmental powers), (iv) multi national organization or body, (v) body exercising, or entitled to exercise, any administrative, executive, judicial, legislative, police, military, regulatory or taxing authority or power, or (v) official of any of the foregoing.
Government Bodies means any legislature, agency, bureau, branch, department, division, commission, court, tribunal, magistrate, justice, multi-national organization, quasi-governmental body, or other similar recognized organization or body of any federal, state, county, municipal, local, or foreign government or other similar recognized organization or body exercising similar powers or authority.

More Definitions of Government Bodies

Government Bodies means bodies a majority of whose members are appointed by the Government or a minister, whose personnel is by law appointed in accordance with the Public Service Act (R.S.Q., chapter F-3.1.1) or whose capital forms part of the domain of the State.

  • Governmental Agency(ies) means, individually or collectively, any federal, state, county or local governmental department, commission, board, regulatory authority or agency (including, without limitation, each applicable Regulatory Agency) with jurisdiction over the Company or a Subsidiary.
