Independent Investigation definition
Independent Investigation means an administrative investigation or inquiry of alleged 2 or potential misconduct by an Officer, authorized by the Chief of Police or City Manager and 3 conducted by a person(s) who is not: 4 5 (1) An employee of the City of Austin; 7 (2) An employee of the Office of the Police Monitor; or 11 An “Independent Investigation” does not include attorney-client work product or privileged 12 material related to the defense of claims or suits against the City of Austin. 13
Independent Investigation means the internal investigation of potential claims, if any, that certain Debtors may hold against insiders and affiliates being conducted by the investigation committee of the board of directors of Holdings.
Independent Investigation shall have the meaning set forth in the Section (13)(r).
Examples of Independent Investigation in a sentence
In 27 addition, the Panel shall provide a public report setting forth the Panel’s conclusions and 28 recommendations after its review of any Independent Investigation.
This provision has no application to any Independent Investigation 27 authorized by the Chief of Police or the City Manager, regardless of whether the Independent 28 Investigation was recommended by a Panel or Police Monitor, or to any hearing of an appeal of 29 disciplinary action pursuant to this AGREEMENT and/or Chapter 143 of the Texas Local 30 Government Code.
This provision has no application to any Independent Investigation 5 authorized by the Chief of Police or the City Manager, regardless of whether the Independent 6 Investigation was recommended by the Citizen’s Review Panel or the Police Monitor, or to any 7 hearing of an appeal of disciplinary action pursuant to this AGREEMENT and/or Chapter 143 of 8 the Texas Local Government Code.
More Definitions of Independent Investigation
Independent Investigation means an administrative investigation or inquiry of alleged or potential misconduct by an Officer, authorized by the Chief of Police or City Manager and conducted by a person(s) who is not:
(1) An employee of the City of Austin;
(2) An employee of the Office of Police Oversight; or
(3) A volunteer member of the Panel. An “Independent Investigation” does not include attorney-client work product or privileged material related to the defense of claims or suits against the City of Austin. *For the purposes of this Agreement the term OPM shall mean OPO and the term OPO shall mean OPM Definitions in this Section shall specifically preempt definitions contained within Chapter 143 of the Texas Local Government Code for purposes of this Article.
Independent Investigation means the independent investigation, assisted by independent advisors, initiated by the Audit Committee in connection with the SEC Inquiry.
Independent Investigation is an investigation conducted by an entity other than the Tribe or the County in accordance with the procedures set forth in Subsection VII. F., and shall occur:
1. Regarding the Tribe, when the subject of any investigation is any employee of the Menominee Tribal Court, Tribal Police Department, Tribal Prosecutor’s Office, Tribal Department of Family Services, or any member of the Menominee Tribal Legislature; or the subject of investigation involves any other situation that the Director determines to have or have a risk of improper influences or create the perception of a lack of independence on the part of the Menominee Tribal Family Services Department.
2. Regarding the County, when a report of alleged maltreatment or threatened harm is received and any of the below listed agents or employees of the county department is the subject of the report or;
3. The agency determines that because of the relationship between the agency and the subject of the report, there is a substantial probability that the agency would not conduct an unbiased investigation; a request is made to the investigating agency to conduct the intake screening decisions and the initial assessment, if necessary. (a) Human Services Employee
(b) Shawano County Law Enforcement Employee
(c) Court Employee (Judge’s Office, Clerk’s Office, District Attorney’s Office, Child Support)

Independent Investigation means any separately conducted investigation by the Board
