Substitute (pool) employee definition

Substitute (pool) employee means an employee who works on an intermittent basis subject to the needs of the facility. Substitute employees receive pro-rated sick leave, annual leave and holiday leave as if permanent, part-time employees. Leave payout shall be at the lowest grade level the employee worked in the six months preceding such payout. Substitute employees, when performing work in non-Addendum A classifications, will not be subject to the provisions of this agreement. The employer will make a good faith effort to distribute work evenly among substitute employees. Nothing in this agreement is intended, however, to imply continuation of the substitute pool. Terminated pool employees will no have recourse to the grievance procedure to challenge termination.

  • Substitute employee is a person hired to perform the duties of a position in the temporary absence of the employee who is regularly assigned to that position.

  • Casual Employee means an employee who has no set hours or days of work and who is normally asked to work as and when required.

  • Qualifying Employee means any employee of Managing Agent or Parent or any of their respective subsidiaries who is and has been an employee of Managing Agent or Parent or any of their respective subsidiaries for at least thirty-six (36) months.

  • relevant employer means any company incorporated or registered under the Companies Act (Cap. 50) or any person registered under the Business Names Registration Act 2014;

  • Qualified Participant means a Participant who has attained age 55 and who has completed at least 10 years of participation in the Plan.

  • Casual Employees means employees who are employed on a casual basis and includes persons who are employed for periods not exceeding five days at any one time.

  • Small employer means any employer that had total revenue of less than $500,000 during the preceding taxable year. For purposes of this division, "total revenue" means receipts of any type or kind, including, but not limited to, sales receipts; payments; rents; profits; gains, dividends, and other investment income; compensation; commissions; premiums; money; property; grants; contributions; donations; gifts; program service revenue; patient service revenue; premiums; fees, including premium fees and service fees; tuition payments; unrelated business revenue; reimbursements; any type of payment from a governmental unit, including grants and other allocations; and any other similar receipts reported for federal income tax purposes or under generally accepted accounting principles. "Small employer" does not include the federal government; any state government, including any state agency or instrumentality; any political subdivision; or any entity treated as a government for financial accounting and reporting purposes.

  • Newly hired employee or “New Hire” means any employee, whether permanent, full-time, or part-time, hired by the Office and who is still employed as of the date of new employee orientation. It also includes all employees who are or have been previously employed by the Office and whose current position has placed them in the bargaining unit represented by CSEA. For those latter employees, for purposes of this article only, the “date of hire” is the date upon which the employees’ employment status changed as such that the employee was placed in the CSEA unit.

  • Qualified Military Service means any service in the uniformed services (as defined in chapter 43 of title 38, United States Code) by any individual if such individual is entitled to reemployment rights under such chapter with respect to such service and to the Employer.

  • Eligible group means two or more persons who are engaged in a

  • Disabled Participant with respect to a loan if it has no right to exercise any voting or other control rights with respect to such loan (other than the right to approve amendments to the material economic terms of such loan).

  • Eligible pupil means a pupil who has been expelled from school under the mandatory expulsion provisions in section 1311 or 1311a of the revised school code, MCL 380.1311 and 380.1311a, a pupil who has been suspended or expelled from school under a local policy, a pupil who is referred by a court, a pupil who is pregnant or is a parent, a pupil who was previously a dropout, or a pupil who is determined by the district to be at risk of dropping out.

  • Eligible veteran means an individual who is certified by the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs as meeting all of the following conditions:

  • Section 162(m) Participant means any key Employee designated by the Administrator as a key Employee whose compensation for the fiscal year in which the key Employee is so designated or a future fiscal year may be subject to the limit on deductible compensation imposed by Section 162(m) of the Code.

  • Qualified Allocation Plan or “QAP” means this Qualified Allocation Plan, which was adopted by Board Action on November 16, 2016 and made effective as of January 1, 2017, and which was approved by the Governor of the State of New Mexico pursuant to Section 42(m)(1)(B) of the Code and sets forth the Project Selection Criteria and the preferences for Projects which will receive Tax Credits.

  • City Managerial Employee means the City Manager, the Assistant City Manager, the City Clerk, and any City department head or director. In the event CONTRACTOR violates the provisions of this paragraph, CONTRACTOR shall be required to pay damages to OWNER in an amount equal to any and all compensation which is received by the former Elected Officer or City Managerial Employee of OWNER from or on behalf of the contracting person or entity, or an amount equal to the former Elected Officer's or City Managerial Employee's last two (2) years of gross compensation from OWNER, whichever is greater.
