Sunday shift definition

Sunday shift means ordinary hours worked between midnight on Saturday and midnight on the following Sunday.
Sunday shift means a shift of 8 hours worked on a Sunday.
Sunday shift means any time worked between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday.

Examples of Sunday shift in a sentence

  • Double the employee’s regular straight-time hourly rate of pay, shall be paid for all hours worked on any Sunday shift, if the employee has worked all regularly scheduled hours during the work week (except as provided in Section 1 B, Section 1 C, and Section 5 of this Article).

  • Effective January 1, 1988, shift workers working straight time on Saturday shall be paid an additional thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour and shift workers working straight time on Sunday shall have their Sunday shift pay increased to sixty cents ($.60) per hour.
