Unpaid Personal Leave definition

Unpaid Personal Leave means personal leave as prescribed by the NES for which an Employee does not receive payment.
Unpaid Personal Leave. Unpaid leaves of absence may be granted for personal reasons at the County Administrator's discretion.

Examples of Unpaid Personal Leave in a sentence

  • Unpaid Personal Leave shall be granted by the Assistant Superintendent or his/her designee to not more than one (1) employee of the department on any given day, provided the employee puts the request in writing at least two (2) weeks before the date of the anticipated leave.

  • An employee may, in circumstances permitted by the Pension Plan, choose to continue to accrue Pensionable Service (as that term is defined in the Pension Plan) during an Unpaid Personal Leave.

  • An Unpaid Personal Leave does not count against the deferral provision(s) in Article 13.

  • Unpaid Personal Leave is available after your vacation balance is exhausted.

  • If her prior position is declared redundant during her unpaid personal leave, the employee will receive notice under Article 20 at the time of the redundancy but the period of paid notice provided for by Article 20 shall begin at the scheduled conclusion of the employee’s Unpaid Personal Leave.

  • Regular full-time employees who have completed their Employee Training Period may request an Unpaid Personal Leave of Absence for compelling or urgent reasons (not for outside employment) for a period not to exceed twelve (12) weeks.

  • An employee granted an Unpaid Personal Leave by the District may purchase any insurance plan he/she has in force the day before the leave begins unless the carrier of the employee’s insurance plan prohibits such sale.

  • The use of no pay days on days when students and teaching staff are not required to report will not be counted towards Unpaid Personal Leave Days covered in Article XII, Section X.

Related to Unpaid Personal Leave

  • Personal Leave means leave provided for:

  • Military caregiver leave means leave taken to care for a covered servicemember with a serious injury or illness.

  • paternity leave means a period of absence from work on leave by virtue of section 80A or 80B of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Family leave means a leave of absence from employment for one (1) of the following reasons: (1) The serious illness of an eligible employee; or (2) the serious illness of a member of an eligible employee’s immediate family. Family Leave, by itself or in combination with statutory Parental Leave (as opposed to contractual parental leave), may not exceed twelve (12) weeks in a twelve (12) month period beginning with the first day either type of leave is used. Leave taken under this Agreement will be credited against any such statutory entitlement to the full extent permitted by law.

  • Personal liability means personal liability for a debt, liability, or other obligation of an organization which is imposed on a person that co-owns, has an interest in, or is a member of the organization:

  • Personal harassment means any improper behaviour by a person employed by the Employer that is directed at and offensive to another person employed by the Employer which the first person knew or ought reasonably to have known would be unwelcome. Personal harassment comprises objectionable conduct, comment, act or display that demeans, belittles or causes personal humiliation or embarrassment to the recipient.

  • Residential facility for persons with a disability means a residence:

  • Baggage and Personal Effects means luggage, personal possessions and travel documents taken by You on Your Trip.

  • Family and Medical Leave means a leave of absence for the birth, adoption or foster care of a child, or for the care of your child, spouse or parent or for your own serious health condition as those terms are defined by the Federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (FMLA) and any amendments, or by applicable state law.

  • Housing Act means the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, or its successor.

  • FMLA means the Family Medical Leave Act of 1993, as amended.

  • Intermittent Leave means leave taken in separate blocks of time due to a single qualifying reason.

  • Aging and People with Disabilities (APD means the program area of Aging and People with Disabilities, within the Department of Human Services.

  • Farmworker Household means a household of one or more persons wherein at least one member of the household is a Farmworker at the time of initial occupancy.

  • parental bereavement leave means leave under section 80EA of the Employment Rights Act 1996;

  • Paid sick leave – means paid leave under the Emergency Paid Sick Leave Act.

  • Current Sick Leave means those days of sick leave for the current contract year, which leave is granted at the rate of one day of sick leave per month worked, or major part thereof.

  • Leased Personal Property shall have the meaning given such term in Section 2.1(e).
