Unpermitted Waste definition

Unpermitted Waste is defined in Section 12.02.020 of the Mono County Code.
Unpermitted Waste means wastes or other materials that the Designated Disposal Site may not receive under their Permits, including:
Unpermitted Waste means any and all Solid Waste that is prohibited from being received at the Designated Disposal Facility by either (1) state, federal or local law, regulation, rule, code, ordinance, order, permit, or permit condition; or (2) pursuant to the Transportation and Disposal Agreement.

  • County may contract with Franchisee or with Persons other than Franchisee for Unpermitted Waste collection, transportation, disposal, processing and/or diversion services.

  • Franchisee will not make any claims against or assert an interest in any account, fund or reserve that County may establish or set aside, from the proceeds of the Franchise Fee or otherwise, or maintains to cover Liabilities relating to Unpermitted Waste, which established fund or reserve County is under no obligation to establish or maintain.

  • Franchisee will comply with the Unpermitted Waste screening, identification, and prevention protocol (“Unpermitted Waste Screening Protocol”) attached to Exhibit 5.06 or may develop and follow its own Unpermitted Waste Screening Protocol which is at least as stringent as Exhibit 5.06 and which is approved by the Director.

  • Franchisee hereby releases and will not seek contribution or compensation of any nature from County for Liabilities relating to Unpermitted Waste, including relating to RCRA, CERCLA, or the California Health and Safety Code.


More Definitions of Unpermitted Waste

Unpermitted Waste means materials that cannot be disposed of in a Class II landfills described in 27 CCR 20250, such as any or all the following: (1) hazardous waste; (2) e- waste; or (3) universal waste.
Unpermitted Waste means wastes or other materials that the Approved Facilities may not receive under their 424 Permits, including: 425 (1) All materials that the Approved Facilities are not permitted to accept; 426 (2) Asbestos, including friable materials that can be crumbled with pressure and are therefore likely to 427 emit fibers, being a naturally occurring family of carcinogenic fibrous mineral substances, which may 428 be Hazardous Materials if it contains more than 1% asbestos;

Putrescible waste includes, but is not limited to, garbage, offal, dead animals, general household waste, and commercial waste. All solid wastes which do not meet the definitions of inert or chemical wastes shall be considered putrescible wastes.

  • Hazardous Wastes means all waste materials subject to regulation under CERCLA, RCRA or applicable state law, and any other applicable Federal and state laws now in force or hereafter enacted relating to hazardous waste disposal.

  • Dangerous Substances means a substance or article described in regulation 3 of the Dangerous Substances Regulations;

  • Low-level radioactive waste or “waste” means radioactive material that consists of or contains class A, B, or C radioactive waste as defined by 10 C.F.R. 61.55, as in effect on January 26, 1983, but does not include waste or material that is any of the following:

  • Contamination means the presence of, or Release on, under, from or to the environment of any Hazardous Substance, except the routine storage and use of Hazardous Substances from time to time in the ordinary course of business, in compliance with Environmental Laws and with good commercial practice.

  • Contaminate means the addition of sediment, any other pollutant or waste, or any illicit or prohibited discharge.

  • e-waste means electrical and electronic equipment, whole or in part discarded as waste by the consumer or bulk consumer as well as rejects from manufacturing, refurbishment and repair processes;
