Absence Due to Personal Injury. Workers Compensation‌ Whenever a Professional employee is temporarily absent from school due to a personal injury suffered on the job and is temporarily unable to perform the Professional Employee’s duties, and the injury is not the result of the Professional Employee’s own negligence, the Professional Employee may, at the Employee’s option, use current year and/or accumulated sick leave to supplement their income beyond the worker’s compensation payments or award made for temporary disability because of said injury, not to exceed the Professional Employee’s regular daily rate of pay.

Absence Due to Personal Injury. In the event a unit member is absent from work because of a personal injury caused in the discharge of his/her duties within the scope of his/her employment and receives Workers’ Compensation payments1 for such absences, such unit member will be paid in full for such loss of time equal to his/her sick leave accumulation not to exceed a period of six (6) school calendar months following such injury less the amount of any paid weekly disability award resulting from compensation, retirement, or social security. Such paid absence shall not be deducted from any sick leave to which such unit member is entitled under this agreement. Any Workers’ Compensation benefit shall be payable to the school district. The District shall reimburse a unit member for the reasonable cost of replacing or repairing dentures, eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, or similar body appurtenances not covered by Workers’ Compensation, which are damaged, destroyed or lost as a result of any injury sustained in the discharge of his/her duties within the scope of his/her employment. The District shall reimburse a unit member for the reasonable cost of any clothing or other personal property damaged or destroyed while the unit member was acting in the discharge of his/her duties within the scope of his/her employment.

  • Personal Injury 22.1 The Vehicle has third party personal injury insurance cover. It is likely that any other vehicle involved in the accident also has third party personal injury insurance cover.

  • Damage to Personal Property The Employer will provide reimbursement for reasonable repair or replacement of damages incurred to the employee's eyeglasses, contact lenses or other prosthesis, ripped uniforms, or personal clothing, as a result of being assaulted while performing his/her work. The employee must report the incident by the end of their shift. The employee will present her or his receipt to the Employer within seven (7) days after the event, unless it was impossible for her or him to do so during this period. The Employer will reimburse up to a maximum of one hundred dollars ($100) per incident except for eyeglasses, which shall have a maximum reimbursement of three hundred dollars ($300).

If performance of this Agreement involves construction, or the transport of persons or hazardous materials, limits of coverage shall not be less than $1,000,000 combined single limit.
