ABSENCES FROM COMMUNITY. The parties agree that should a resident be absent from the community due to hospitalization, vacation or any other reason, the room will be reserved and charges will continue to accrue until the resident’s return or other arrangements are made by the family or guardian. This will remain in effect until written notice terminating the agreement is received by the facility as described in section 7. While the resident is away from the community, for whatever reason, they or their responsible party will be responsible for the entire rent and fees listed in Addendum A. Under no circumstances will there be rate adjustments for rent, additional services or meals.

  • Absences and Leaves In the event that one member of the job/time sharing arrangement is off due to illness or injury or goes on any other leave of absence, the remaining partner will endeavour to cover all of the absent partner’s shifts for the duration of the absence.   • General Leave of Absence a) Leave of absence without pay may be granted to employees for valid reasons as set out by Company policy.

  • Deductions from Sick Leave A deduction shall be made from accumulated sick leave of all normal working days (exclusive of holidays) absent for sick leave.

  • Maternity, Parental and Adoption Leave Employees are eligible for unpaid leave of absence from employment subject to the conditions in this article. Every employee who intends to take a leave of absence under this article shall give at least 30 days' notice in writing to the Employer unless there is a valid reason why such notice cannot be given and shall inform the Employer in writing of the length of leave intended to be taken. Each employee who wishes to change the effective date of approved leave shall give four weeks' notice of such change unless there is a valid reason why notice cannot be given.

  • Child Rearing Leave 7.9.1 A permanent employee, who is the natural or adoptive parent of a child, shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for the purpose of rearing his/her child for a specified period immediately after convalescence from maternity or immediately after completion of appropriate adoption papers. Such leave shall be for a maximum period of nine (9) months and shall be granted upon giving the District at least four (4) weeks notice prior to the anticipated date on which the leave is to commence.

  • SHORT-TERM ILLNESS AND INJURY AND LONG-TERM DISABILITY Employees shall be entitled to coverage for short term illness and injury and long term disability in accordance with agreed upon regulations which will be subject to review and revision during the period of this Agreement by negotiations between the Parties and included as Appendix A to this Agreement.

  • Maternity Adoption and Parental Leave The following in part reflects the provisions of the Employment Standards Act on these matters. In all cases of dispute, and where the Act as amended from time to time is superior, the provisions of the Act will prevail.

  • Pension Contributions While on Short Term Disability Contributions for OMERS Plan Members When an employee/plan member is on short-term sick leave and receiving less than 100% of regular salary, the Board will continue to deduct and remit OMERS contributions based on 100% of the employee/plan member’s regular pay.
