ABSENCES FROM WORK. 18.1 Employees who are unable to report for their normal work day have the responsibility to notify their supervisor of such absence as soon as possible, but in no event later than the beginning of such work day. 18.2 Failure to make such notification may be grounds for discipline as provided in Article 17 (DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES). 18.3 Failure to report for work without notification for three (3) consecutive normal work days may be considered a “quit” by the Employer on the part of the employee.
