Common use of Academic Credentials Clause in Contracts

Academic Credentials. The successful candidate will have a recognized Ph.D. or academic credential equivalent to the Ph.D. as determined by the CAPT or publicly available scholarly work judged by the CAPT to be of a quality equivalent to doctoral research. Work submitted as equivalent to the Ph.D. may not be counted separately as evidence of continuing scholarship except to the extent that it exceeds the work normally expected of a doctorate. In the School of Social Work a doctoral degree in Social Work or a related discipline is the preferred qualification. However, a MSW or equivalent Master's degree plus five years of post-Master's professional work experience shall be considered an appropriate qualification.
