Academic Education. Upon satisfactory completion of 30 units of college level related courses, the employee shall receive a salary increase equal to two and one-half percent (2.5%) of their base salary. Upon attainment of 60 units or the attainment of an Associate Degree, the employee shall receive a salary increase equal to five percent (5%) of base salary.

Academic Education a ) The Employer may grant leaves without pay to Employees who wish to undergo academic training. It may, also, refund all or any portion of the registration and tuition fees associated with classes it has approved, insofar as such classes are, in accordance with Human Resources’ Policy on Learning & Development, related to the type of work carried out by the Employees concerned. b ) In light of departmental needs and the requirements of a specific job, the Employer may, free of charge, provide second-language courses. c ) Sabbatical leaves may be granted as a result of annual competitions during which eligible Employees submit projects aimed at promoting their personal and professional development. Such projects shall be reviewed and assessed by the Labour Relations Committee.   • Special Education Special education services, related services, and accommodations for students who are eligible under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or any applicable provisions of state law, shall be provided in accordance with applicable state and federal law, this Agreement and Authorizer rules and policies. The Authorizer is the LEA for purposes of ensuring compliance with IDEA, Section 504, and all other federal and state laws and regulations concerning accommodation of and education of students with disabilities.

  • Continuing Education The Hospital and the Union recognize that continuing education is important for all employees and that they have shared interests and responsibilities in ensuring equitable access to it.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Dimensions Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 3 years of IT work experience in production and operations support.
