Academy Working Conditions. 1. Program hours and compensation. The PAUSD Academy will serve students identified as academically at risk in Grades 1-5. The classes will be limited to 6-10 students, each working with one teacher. Teachers will be paid the Academy Teaching Rate specified in Appendix H for each hour of instruction. For planning and parent conferencing, the teacher will receive one additional hour of pay for every 3 hours of instruction. Teachers-in-charge will receive one additional hour of pay for every 3 hours of being in charge.
