Accompanying Persons. 14.1 Accompanying Persons are defined as any guest of a Delegate who is not a professional of the gas or energy industry and will not use the Event as a business networking opportunity. If the Organizer believes the Accompanying Person is attending in a professional or business capacity, the Organizer reserves the right to refuse or to cancel the registration of the Accompanying Person and request they register as a Delegate. 14.2 The following items are included in the Accompanying Person’s registration:

Accompanying Person(s) must NOT be a professional of the gas or energy industry or use the Conference as a business networking opportunity. Accompanying Persons. Expenses of the accompanying spouse/family members will be borne by the visiting scientist. The host Academy may help in arranging suitable double room accommodation.

Accompanying Persons. The Host delivers a programme of activities for Accompanying Persons during the Congress week as well as a more limited programme during the Executive Assembly period. The Congress registration for Accompanying Persons must include at a minimum the Opening Ceremony, the Welcome Reception(s), the Closing Ceremony, and the exhibition. The structure of the Accompanying Persons’ programme (types of activities, number of activities, etc.) is at the discretion of the Organisers, but should be discussed and agreed with the Council’s London Office. Accompanying Persons should be able to register for tours as part of the Congress/Executive Assembly registration process. The cost of participating in tours and activities of the programme should be included in the accompanying persons’ registration fee, but if necessary, a charge may be made for admission fees or tickets to attractions. Transport should be provided to/from the planned activities, as part of the cost of any tour. A dedicated hospitality desk should be provided in the Congress venue and in the headquarters hotel, possibly also in other Executive Assembly/Congress hotels, where accompanying persons can find information and book tours. The Host should designate a person within the Organising Committee who is responsible for managing the Accompanying Persons’ Programme and for liaising with the London Office.
