Common use of Accumulation of Sick Leave Credits Clause in Contracts

Accumulation of Sick Leave Credits. (a) After one (1) month of service, each Employee on regular staff shall be entitled to cumulative sick leave credits computed from the day of commencement of employment at the rate of one and one-half (1 1/2) working days (twelve (12) working hours) for each month of employment up to a maximum sick leave credit of one hundred and ninety (190) working days (one thousand five hundred and twenty (1520) working hours). (b) Employees on OTFT status shall earn sick leave credits on a pro rata basis in direct relation to their paid hours as compared with that of a full-time Employee. An OTFT employee shall accumulate sick leave credits to a maximum of one hundred and ninety (190) working days (one thousand five hundred and twenty (1520) working hours). (c) An Employee who has in excess of one hundred and ninety (190) working days sick leave credits will maintain those days. She will no longer accrue sick leave credits until such time as her credits fall below one hundred and ninety (190) working days at which time Articles 18.02 (a) and (b) shall become applicable.
