Additional Casual Shifts. Part-time Employees wishing to work additional hours and who so indicate in writing on a monthly basis to the Employer, shall be given preference and first opportunity to work any additional hours. Where more than one Part-time Employee has requested to work additional hours, the hours will be offered to the Employee within the unit having the most seniority. If all available shifts are not filled, then casual Employees may be assigned shifts as equitably as possible.

If such an employee later returns to the bargaining unit, the employee shall be placed in a job consistent with the employee's seniority. Such return shall not result in the layoff or bumping of an employee holding greater seniority.
