Administration of Sick Leave Bank a. The donation and usage of sick leave donations will be monitored and maintained by The District. It is understood by the parties to the agreement that it is the intent of Kent Intermediate School District that the provisions of the FMLA be followed and adhered to with regard to those parties covered by the Master Agreement.

Administration of Sick Leave Bank. The sick leave bank shall be administered by a committee consisting of three (3) members of the bargaining unit, named by Association. Before November 30 of each year, the sick leave bank committee and the Director of Business and Finance will meet to verify the number of days in the bank, the individuals who are contributing to the bank and the number of days used during the previous school year and the total number of days remaining in the bank at the start of the current school year.
Administration of Sick Leave Bank. Employees new to the district must donate one day of sick leave at the beginning of their first year of employment.  If the bank drops below one hundred (100) hours, each employee shall donate one day (their daily hours) providing that the person has a sick day to donate to the bank. In the event that a member does not have a day to donate the member shall contribute one (1) sick day at the beginning of the next school year.  The Sick Leave Bank Committee will receive and review all applications to borrow days from the Sick Leave Bank and submit a written recommendation to the Superintendent within five (5) workdays.   • Donation of Sick Leave a. If a part-time bargaining unit member is absent due to a major illness, injury or accident, or absent and using Sick Leave in accordance with Article 20, and the member has exhausted all of his/her accumulated Sick Leave, the member may receive up to five (5) days of accumulated Sick Leave from any Part-Time Certified or Part-Time Classified bargaining unit member who wishes to donate these days. Members receiving donated days will be paid at their regular rate of pay.

  • Utilization of Sick Leave Employees who have accrued paid leave time shall be eligible for paid leave for any period of absence from employment which includes but is not limited to the employee’s illness; injury; temporary disability; medical or dental care; or to attend to members of the employee’s or the employee’s spouse’s immediate family or domestic partner or domestic partner’s immediate family, where the employee’s presence is required because of illness or as otherwise required by the state or federal Family Medical Leave Act or other State law. The Employer may, in its sole discretion, require reasonable proof of illness or disability and/or certification of the necessity of the employee’s absence.

  • Shared Leave Administration A. The calculation of the recipient’s leave value will be in accordance with applicable Office of Financial Management policies, regulations, and procedures. The leave received will be coded as shared leave and be maintained separately from all other leave balances. All paid leave accrued must be used prior to using shared leave when the employee qualifies for shared leave under 13.2 A.1. Accrued vacation leave and paid military leave allowed under RCW 38.40.060 must be used prior to using shared leave for employees qualified under 13.2 A.2. All paid leave, except sick leave, must be used prior to using shared leave when the employee qualifies for shared leave under 13.2 A.3 and 13.2 A.4.

  • Accumulation of Sick Leave The unused portion of an Employee's sick leave shall accrue for her future benefit, up to a maximum of one hundred and thirty (130) days.
