Administration of Sick Leave Bank a. The donation and usage of sick leave donations will be monitored and maintained by The District. It is understood by the parties to the agreement that it is the intent of Kent Intermediate School District that the provisions of the FMLA be followed and adhered to with regard to those parties covered by the Master Agreement. Days that can be counted toward those provided under FMLA will be deducted from that liability.
Administration of Sick Leave Bank. Employees new to the district must donate one day of sick leave at the beginning of their first year of employment. • If the bank drops below one hundred (100) hours, each employee shall donate one day (their daily hours) providing that the person has a sick day to donate to the bank. In the event that a member does not have a day to donate the member shall contribute one (1) sick day at the beginning of the next school year. • The Sick Leave Bank Committee will receive and review all applications to borrow days from the Sick Leave Bank and submit a written recommendation to the Superintendent within five (5) workdays. This policy can be reviewed and revised by the Sick Bank Committee at any time.
Administration of Sick Leave Bank. The sick leave bank shall be administered by a committee consisting of three (3) members of the bargaining unit, named by Association. Before November 30 of each year, the sick leave bank committee and the Director of Business and Finance will meet to verify the number of days in the bank, the individuals who are contributing to the bank and the number of days used during the previous school year and the total number of days remaining in the bank at the start of the current school year.
