First Year of Employment. During the first year of employment with the Company the employee will be entitled to personal (sick) leave entitlement at the rate of one day at the beginning of each of the first ten calendar months of the employee’s first year of employment.
First Year of Employment. An employee during the first year of employment with the Company will be entitled to personal (sick) leave to a maximum of ten (10) days equivalent to the employee’s normal daily ordinary working hours.
First Year of Employment. In the first vacation year of employment, an employee shall accrue six (6) hours of paid vacation for each month of service to a maximum of 72 hours.

First Year of Employment. The following steps shall be followed in the evaluation of all first-year faculty members.
5.5.3.2.1 During the first month of the academic year, the appropriate Xxxx will arrange a joint meeting with each new faculty member and his/her respective Department Chair. At this meeting, the following topics will be covered and a plan for the new faculty member’s evaluation during the first year of employment will be made. These topics may also be covered during the New Faculty Seminar.
a) The Contract provisions on non-tenured faculty evaluation will be reviewed in detail by the appropriate Xxxx.
b) During New Faculty Seminar, the new faculty member will be provided with a copy of the Faculty Tenure Packet, which includes the required forms to be used.
c) Specific objectives to be met by the new faculty member during the first year of employment will be agreed to by the faculty member and the appropriate Xxxx.
d) At the conclusion of the meeting, the appropriate Xxxx, Department Chair, and the faculty member will sign a document acknowledging an understanding of the tenure procedure. The following components are required:
1) Chair’s teaching observations and feedback
2) Chair’s report (department and College responsibilities)
3) Other mentoring committee members’ classroom observations
4) Other mentoring committee members’ year-end one (1)-page narratives summarizing strengths and weaknesses
5) Xxxx’x teaching observations and feedback
6) Self-evaluation
7) Goals and a narrative indicating progress toward goals
8) Student evaluations
9) Other forms of evaluation agreed upon by the appropriate Xxxx, Department Chair, and the faculty member, including a statement of the faculty member’s teaching philosophy for maximizing student learning and examples of teaching and work materials.
5.5.3.2.2 The Department Chair will observe the new faculty member in his/her appropriate instructional role a minimum of three (3) times during the academic year and will provide a copy of his or her report identifying observed strengths and weaknesses to the new faculty member and the appropriate Xxxx. The other two members of the mentoring committee will each conduct one (1) classroom observation – one (1) in the Fall and one (1) in the Spring.
5.5.3.2.3 At least twice during the academic year, the appropriate Xxxx will observe the new faculty member in his/her appropriate instructional role and will file a report with the appropriate Vice President. Copies of this report will be se...
First Year of Employment. During the first year of employment of any Employee, vacation shall accrue but no vacation may be taken during this period.
First Year of Employment. 32.1.4(a) The employee shall not be entitled during his/her first year of any period of service with an employer to leave in excess of ten days working time.
32.1.4(b) Provided that during the first ten months of the first year of any period of service with an employer he/she shall be entitled to sick leave which shall accrue on a pro rata basis of one day of working time for each month of service completed with that employer.
32.1.4(c) Provided further that on application by the employee during the eleventh month of employment and subject to the availability of an unclaimed balance of sick leave the employee shall be paid for any sick leave taken during the first ten months and in respect of which payment was not made.
First Year of Employment. Employees who have successfully completed their probationary period shall earn a vacation with pay in their first year of employment on the following basis: Vacation with pay shall begin to accrue the first day of the month following their month of hire. An employee shall earn 1/12 of their vacation eligibility of eighty (80) hours for each month which remains in the vacation year (July 1st to June 30th) starting from the first day of the month following their date of hire. An employee in his first year of employment may be eligible for up to eighty (80) hours of vacation with pay, subject to the proration formula defined in this paragraph.
