Common use of ADVANCING OF SICK LEAVE Clause in Contracts

ADVANCING OF SICK LEAVE. A regular, full-time, permanent Employee in full-pay status may, upon written request and recommendation of the Chief of Police and approval of Township Administrator, request an advance on earned Xxxx Leave of up to twelve (12) days or ninety-six (96) work hours of Sick Leave, provided said Employee reimburses Township for any unearned Sick Leave advanced in the event Employee's employment terminates prior to date necessary to earn the Sick Leave advanced to said Employee. An Employee denied approval of an advance on Sick Leave may request a review of the Township Administrator's decision by the Township Committee. Denial of approval by the Township Committee of such request shall not be the basis of a grievance.
