Afternoon and Night. Shift An employee working afternoon or night shift shall be paid a loading of 15% additional to the ordinary rate of pay for that employee for the whole of that shift.

Afternoon and Night. (a) For the purpose of clause 5.6.1 an afternoon shift is a shift other than a night shift as defined herein, that commences on or after 12 midday. Afternoon shift workers shall be paid an allowance of 12.5% for each shift of ordinary hours. (b) Night shift is a shift commencing at or after 6.00 p.m. or before 7.30 a.m. the following day, the major portion of which is worked between 6.00 p.m. and 7.30 a.m. Night shift workers shall be paid an allowance of 15% for each shift of ordinary hours. (c) The afternoon and night shift allowances in clauses 5.6.1(a) and 5.6.1(b) do not apply to shift work performed on Saturday or Sunday when extra payment for weekend work in accordance with clause 5.6.9 applies.

  • Afternoon Shift (i) Afternoon Shift is any shift where the normal ceasing time is later than 6.00 p.m. but not later than midnight. (ii) The additional loading for ordinary hours only shall be twenty-five percent (25%) of the all purpose rate applying to the Employees' classification.

  • Crib Time (i) When an Employee is required to work overtime after the usual ceasing time for the day or shift for two hours or more, he/she shall be allowed to take, without deduction of pay, a crib time of twenty minutes in duration immediately after such ceasing time and thereafter, after each four hours of continuous work, he/she shall be allowed to take also, without deduction of pay, a crib time of 30 minutes in duration. (ii) In the event of an Employee remaining at work after the usual ceasing time without taking the crib time of twenty minutes and continuing at work for a period of two hours or more, he/she shall be regarded as having worked twenty minutes more than the time worked and be paid accordingly.
