Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. An employee whilst on afternoon or night shift shall be paid for such shift 15 per cent more than his or her ordinary rate.
Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. 6.2.2(a) An employee whilst on afternoon or night shift shall be paid for such shift 15 per cent more than his or her ordinary rate.
6.2.2(b) An employee who works on an afternoon or night shift which does not continue:
(i) for at least five successive afternoon or night shifts or six successive afternoon or night shifts in a six day workshop (where no more than eight ordinary hours are worked on each shift); or
(ii) for at least 38 ordinary hours (where more than eight ordinary hours are worked on each shift and the shift arrangement is in accordance with subclauses 6.1.2 or 6.1.3);
6.2.2(c) An employee who:
(i) During a period of engagement on shift, works night shift only; or
(ii) Remains on night shift for a longer period than four consecutive weeks; or
(iii) Works on a night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give him or her at least one third of his or her working time off night shift in each shift cycle;

6.2.2(b) An employee who works on an afternoon or night shift which does not continue:

(ii) for at least 38 ordinary hours (where more than eight ordinary hours are worked on each shift and the shift arrangement is in accordance with subclauses 6.1.2 or 6.1.3);
Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. (a) An employee whilst on afternoon or night shift shall be paid for such shift 15 per cent more than his or her ordinary rate.
(b) An employee who works on an afternoon or night shift which does not continue:
(i) for at least five successive afternoon or night shifts or six successive afternoon or night shifts in a six day workshop (where no more than eight ordinary hours are worked on each shift); or
(ii) for at least 38 ordinary hours (where more than eight ordinary hours are worked on each shift and the shift arrangement is in accordance with subclauses 24.2 or 24.3); shall be paid for each shift 50 percent for the first three hours and 100 percent for the remaining hours, in addition to his or her ordinary rate.
(c) An employee who:
(i) During a period of engagement on shift, works night shift only; or
(ii) Remains on night shift for a longer period than four consecutive weeks; or
(iii) Works on a night shift which does not rotate or alternate with another shift or with day work so as to give him or her at least one third of his or her working time off night shift in each shift cycle; shall, during such engagement, period or cycle, be paid 30 per cent more than his or her ordinary rate for all time worked during ordinary working hours on such night shift.
Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. (a) An employee whilst on afternoon or night shift shall be paid for such shift 15 per cent more than his or her ordinary rate.
(b) An employee who:
(i) During a period of engagement on shift, works night shift only; or
Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. 39.2.1 An Employee whilst on afternoon shall be paid for such shift an additional fifteen percent (15%).
39.2.2 Night shift allowance Any night shift which alternates with any day or afternoon shift will be paid an additional 22.5% of their ordinary rate whilst working ordinary hours.
Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. In addition to the rate of pay prescribed by Schedule 8of this Agreement, Employees whilst engaged on afternoon shift and night shift, shall be paid an additional penalty rate for each such shift as follows:
(i) Afternoon Shift – 11%;
(ii) Night Shift – 13%.
Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. (a) Afternoon and night shift allowance is payable on all appropriate shifts during ordinary working hours, including rostered weekend shifts involving ordinary time.
(b) The payment of shift allowance to employees working 12 hour shifts are made on the basis that a maximum of 16 hours in any 24 hour period will attract the relevant percentage shift allowance penalty only. For example, an employee working a continuous 12 hour shift roster with a starting time of 7.00 am for the day shift and a starting time of 7.00 pm for the night shift, would be paid the afternoon shift percentage penalty rate for four (4) hours for the day shift and the night shift percentage penalty rate for twelve (12) hours for the night shift.
(c) Shift allowances are not payable to Employees on overtime, with the exception of the 21st overtime shift.
Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. 17.5.1 A shift employee while on an afternoon shift will be paid 15% more than the ordinary rates.
17.5.2 A shift employee while on a night shift will be paid 30% more than the ordinary rates.
17.5.3 Shift employees who work any afternoon or night shift, which itself, does not continue for at least five (5) successive afternoon or nights, will be paid for each shift 50% for the first three (3) hours and 100% for the remaining hours in addition to the ordinary rate.
17.5.4 On a shift other than a rostered shift, clause 19.2 of this Agreement will apply.
Afternoon and Night Shift Allowances. According to the needs of the business, a variety of shift patterns may be worked in different parts of the plant. Loadings;
(a) Day Work 0% Afternoon Shift 30% Night Shift 30%
(b) Refer to clause 11.7 for shifts that run less than five successive afternoons or nights or less than the ordinary hours in one of the arrangements in clauses 11.3 and 11.4.
