Afternoon Sessions. If the negotiations session is scheduled for the afternoon and for less than five hours, the negotiators will be released at least one hour from the beginning of the bargaining session. Employees who work the swing shift will only be required to work the number of hours of their shift minus the hours spent in negotiations. If their absence places an undue hardship on the department, the employee may be required to complete their shift and be paid overtime. For example, if the shift is an 8 hour shift, and negotiations last 3 hours, the employee shall report to work after the session and be required to work 5 hours. If the employee is normally assigned to work five hours or less per day, he/she will not be required to return to work.

Afternoon Sessions. Teachers shall be available for two thirty minute periods after school two days a week or one sixty minute period one day per week, to provide extra help or other instructional assistance to students. The scheduling of the thirty or sixty minute periods after school shall be approved by the building principal. Teachers shall not be required to perform school-wide detention, which shall be a function of the administrator.

Each secondary teacher in the bargaining unit shall be assigned a particular day of the week (which may be reasonably altered from time to time upon reasonable notice to the principal of the building) on which he or she shall be available within his or her usual room or shop following the above schedule for the purpose of providing students with an opportunity for extra instruction, make-up instruction and for other educational purposes.

  • Afternoon Shift If a second shift is employed, the hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours of work between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 12:30 A.M. for which eight (8) hours will be paid and a shift premium of sixty-one cents (61¢) shall be added on to the classified hourly rate.

  • Working Day Working Day means a day other than a Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday which is observed by the construction industry in the area of the Place of the Work.

  • Monday morning (2) The employee should not work more than 16 hours without an 8 hour break.

  • Overtime Lieu Time Where an employee has worked an accumulated approved overtime hours (other than overtime hours related to paid holidays) such employee shall have the option of electing payment at the applicable overtime rate or time off equivalent to the applicable overtime rate (i.e. where the applicable rate I time and one-half, then time off shall be at one and one-half times. Where an employee chooses the latter option, such time off must be taken within the succeeding two pay periods of the occurrence of the overtime at a time mutually agreeable to the Hospital and the employee, or payment in accordance with the former option shall be made. An employee shall not be required to take time off to avoid payment of overtime.

  • Lunch If the Company elects to furnish a lunch meal, it will be suitable and may be in the form of a box lunch. The meal shall be eaten at the job site or a Company designated location. Employees eating a box lunch or other Company-provided lunch at the job site will be allowed 30 minutes paid time to eat and will also be granted the dollar amount of the meal allowance as specified under the labor agreement.

  • Lunch Time The “duty free” lunch time for assistants will be the same length as the building lunch time for students provided that the lunch is no less than thirty (30) minutes in length.

  • Weekdays All work performed outside of the designated shift Monday through Friday shall be paid at time and one-half (1-1/2) the straight-time hourly wage rate.

  • Monday CASE II An employee should not work more than 16 hours and must take an 8 hour break before continuing work. Therefore, an employee called in at 7:00 p.m. Sunday could work until 11:00
