  • All Employees The Company shall not include the shift differential in any employee’s wage rate for the calculation of overtime.

  • Student Employees A student employee is an employee who is hired for short-term work which is not ongoing. He/she is normally in the process of completing his/her post-graduate studies and is expected to return to his/her studies after an agreed employment period. The employee's benefits and working conditions are as per Article 34 (Temporary Employees).

  • Shift Employees Employees who work rotating shift patterns or those who work qualifying shifts shall be entitled, on completion of 12 months employment on shift work, to up to an additional 5 days annual leave, based on the number of qualifying shifts worked. The entitlement will be calculated on the annual leave anniversary date. Qualifying shifts are defined as a shift which involves at least 2 hours work performed outside the hours of 8.00am to 5.00pm, excluding overtime.   • Permanent Employees The allocations outlined in paragraphs b) and c) above will be provided on the first day of each fiscal year, or the first day of employment, subject to the exceptions below: Where a permanent Employee is accessing sick leave and/or the short-term disability plan in a fiscal year and the absence continues into the following fiscal year for the same medical condition, the permanent Employee will continue to access any unused sick leave days or short-term disability days from the previous fiscal year’s allocation. A new allocation will not be provided to the permanent Employee until s/he has returned to work and completed eleven (11) consecutive working days at their regular working hours. The permanent Employee’s new sick leave allocation will be eleven (11) days at 100% wages. The permanent Employee will also be allocated one hundred and twenty (120) short term disability days payable at ninety percent (90%) of regular salary reduced by any paid sick days already taken in the current fiscal year. If a permanent Employee is absent on his/her last regularly scheduled work day and the first regularly scheduled work day of the following year for unrelated reasons, the allocation outlined above will be provided on the first day of the fiscal year, provided the employee submits medical documentation to support the absence, in accordance with paragraph (h).

  • No New Employees New employees shall not be hired until those laid off have been given an opportunity of recall.

  • Replacement Employees (a) A replacement employee is an employee specifically engaged or temporarily promoted or transferred, as a result of an employee proceeding on parental leave. (b) Before an employer engages a replacement employee the employer must inform that person of the temporary nature of the employment and of the rights of the employee who is being replaced.

  • FOREIGN EMPLOYEES 1B VISA costs shall not be passed through to the Authorized User under this Contract. Although Authorized Users will not affirm employment for immigration purposes, an Authorized User may be asked to confirm Contractor’s statement of the individual’s employment for immigration purposes. Based on RFQ security requirements the Authorized User may require that all staff must be citizens of the United States, and if so, Authorized User will indicate in the RFQ.

  • EMPLOYER AND UNION TO ACQUAINT NEW EMPLOYEES ‌ (a) At the time of hire new employees will be advised that a collective agreement is in effect and of the conditions of employment set out in the articles dealing with Union Security and Dues Check-off. (b) A new employee shall also be provided with: (1) the name, location and work telephone number of the xxxxxxx; and (2) an authorization form for union dues check-off. (c) Upon request, the xxxxxxx shall be advised of the name, location and work telephone number of the new employee. (d) The xxxxxxx will be given an opportunity to interview each new employee within regular working hours, without loss of pay, for 15 minutes sometime during the first 30 days of employment. (e) The Union will provide the Employer with an up-to-date list of stewards' names, work locations and work telephone numbers in order that the Employer may meet its obligation in (b)(1) above. (f) The Union will be provided with a copy of the completed and signed authorization form for dues check-off for all new employees.

  • Certain Employees (a) Each of the following is included in the list of agreements set forth in the Disclosure Schedule: all collective bargaining agreements, employment and consulting agreements, bonus plans, deferred compensation plans, employee pension plans or retirement plans, employee profit-sharing plans, employee stock purchase and stock option plans, hospitalization insurance, and other plans and arrangements providing for employee benefits of employees of the Seller. (b) The Disclosures Schedule contains a true, complete and accurate list of the following: the names, positions, and compensation of the present employees of the Seller, together with a statement of the annual salary payable to salaried employees and a summary of the bonuses and description of agreements for additional compensation and other like benefits, if any, paid or payable to such persons for the period set forth in the Disclosure Schedule. Except as listed in the Disclosure Schedule, to the best of Seller's knowledge, all employees of Seller are employees-at-will. (c) Seller has no retired employees who are receiving or are entitled to receive any payments, health or other benefits from Seller.
