Common use of Annual Conversion of Accumulated Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Annual Conversion of Accumulated Sick Leave. Each January any employee who, at the end of the immediately previous calendar year, shall have accumulated in excess of sixty (60) days of unused sick leave may elect to convert unused sick leave earned the previous year in excess of sixty (60) days to monetary compensation at the current rate set forth by Washington State Legislature of the employee’s full-time daily rate of compensation at the time of termination from employment for each full day of eligible sick leave. Any such election shall be made by written notice to the Superintendent during the month of January. Any such annual conversion of accumulated sick leave shall be subject to the terms and limitations of applicable law.

Each 30 Commencing in January of 1985 and on each January thereafter, any employee who, who at the end 31 of the immediately previous calendar year, year shall have accumulated in excess of sixty (60) days 32 of unused sick leave leave, may elect to convert unused sick leave earned the previous year in excess 33 of sixty (60) days to monetary compensation at the current rate set forth by Washington State Legislature of twenty-five (25) percent of the 34 employee’s 's current, full-time daily rate of compensation at the time of termination from employment for each full day of eligible sick leave. 36 Any such election shall be made by written notice to the Superintendent District Business Office during the 37 month of January. Any such annual conversion of accumulated sick leave shall be subject to the 38 terms and limitations of applicable lawstate statute or regulation.

Annual Conversion of Accumulated Sick Leave. Each January January, any eligible employee who, who at the end of the immediately previous calendar year, year shall have accumulated in excess of sixty (60) days of unused sick leave may elect to convert receive remuneration for unused sick leave earned the previous year in excess of sixty (60) days at a rate equal to one day’s monetary compensation at the current rate set forth by Washington State Legislature of the employee’s full-time daily rate of compensation at the time of termination from employment employee for each four full day days of eligible sick leaveaccrued leave for illness or injury. Any such election shall be made by written notice to the Superintendent District personnel office during the month of January. All sick leave days converted pursuant to this section shall be deducted from the employee's accumulated sick leave balance. Any such annual conversion of accumulated sick leave shall be subject to the terms and limitations of applicable lawWashington Administrative Code.
