Apprentice Rates – Competency Based Progression Clause Samples
The 'Apprentice Rates – Competency Based Progression' clause establishes that an apprentice’s pay rate will increase as they achieve specific competency milestones rather than solely based on time served. In practice, this means that wage progression is tied to the apprentice demonstrating mastery of defined skills or completing certain training modules, rather than automatic annual raises. This approach incentivizes skill development and ensures that pay reflects actual ability, addressing the need for fair compensation aligned with an apprentice’s proven capabilities.
