AUTHORIZED ABSENCE. Since the absence of professional employees generally has an adverse affect on the quality of the educational program, imposes increased responsibilities on other members of the professional staff, and increases cost, it is the responsibility of employees to avoid unnecessary tardiness or absence. The provisions herein set forth are not intended to reduce the professional responsibilities of employees nor to provide a form of additional compensation.
