Basic Services and Other Matters. Scope of project: This project includes construction observation services to assist City staff for the Quivira Road Widening Project No. 46 N-0532-01 (TH-0552). The Consulting Engineer shall furnish qualified staff and perform the various professional duties and services required for construction observation on the Project in accordance with all tasks listed in the current City of Overland Park Project Procedures Manual.

Scope of project: The following outlined scope of services is for the additional design service associated with the 2013 CDBG Improvements that are to be included as part of the 2014 Overland Park Neighborhood Streets Reconstruction Program. This additional effort includes design, plans, and specifications to be used for the reconstruction of Glenwood St. (78th Terr. to 00xx Xx.), Xxxxxx Xx. (79th St. to 78th St.), and 78th Terr. (Cul-de-Sac to Xxxxxx St.). Streets will be reconstructed to a 26' wide (typical) section with curb and gutter, street lights, driveway approaches, and sidewalks on one side. The Consulting Engineer shall furnish and perform the various professional duties and services required for the construction of the Project in accordance with all tasks listed in the current City of Overland Park Project Procedures Manual.

Scope of project: This project includes design, plans, and specifications to be used for rehabilitation of the existing underground stormwater sewer system located at the four sites identified in the attached exhibits. The Consulting Engineer shall furnish and perform the various professional duties and services required for the construction of the Project in accordance with all tasks listed in the current City of Overland Park Project Procedures Manual. General Design Requirements Plan development stages shall be completed as identified within this document, under “Completion Time”, exclusive of delays beyond the consultant’s control. The consultant shall submit to the City progress reports at monthly or at mutually agreed intervals in conformity with the official project schedule. The Design plans shall be signed and sealed by the licensed professional engineer responsible for the preparation of the design plans. Rights of way descriptions shall be signed and sealed by the licensed land surveyor responsible for the preparation of the rights of way descriptions.

In general, the study will evaluate safety, cost and traffic flow using field data and the recently updated citywide travel demand model in an effort to determine the roadway section that will be used for this corridor. A detailed scope of services follows.

Scope of project: This project includes survey, design, plans, specifications and construction administration duties for construction of 000xx Xxxxxx to a four-lane thoroughfare standard from Xxxx Avenue to Mission Road. The project would include construction of all four legs of the Mission Road intersection to a four-lane arterial standard to the extent of achieving full length turn-lanes with appropriate tie-in tapers, approximately 1,000 feet east of the intersection. Traffic signal work will include planning for a future traffic signal at 000xx Xxxxxx and Mission Road. Traffic signal construction will only consist of installation of the plumbing for the future signal. A new street light system will be included in the design throughout the length of the project. Restoration will include seeding and sod, landscape (trees to be replaced in subdivision common areas – bid item and standard detail), irrigation replacement (negotiated as needed as a supplemental agreement), reconstruction of private fences, and reconstruction of subdivision monuments (detailed plans not required). Temporary erosion control will be provided per phased construction. The City’s standard traffic control details will be used as the primary basis for the traffic control plans. In addition to the standard details, sequence of construction descriptions and traffic control lane reduction restriction will be provided along with any road closing and detour plans. Plans shall be formatted for bid letting according to the City of Overland Park Project Procedures Manual. Plans shall be in ENGLISH units. The overhead power/utilities are planned to be relocated underground. The existing traffic/pedestrian signals will be analyzed at the intersections of 83rd Street and 87th Street to ensure all features meet the current requirements of PROWAG. North-south crosswalks at these intersections will be reviewed and updated as necessary.
