Bereavement Leave. Any employee who notifies the Hospital as soon as possible following bereavement will be granted bereavement leave for four (4) consecutive working days off without loss of regular pay from regularly scheduled hours in conjunction with the death of the spouse, child, or parent. Any employee who notifies the Hospital as soon as possible following a bereavement will be granted bereavement leave for three (3) consecutive working days off without loss of regular pay from regularly scheduled hours in conjunction with the death of the sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son- in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, brother-in-law, sister-in-law or grandparent of spouse. An employee shall be granted one (1) day bereavement leave without loss of regular pay from regularly scheduled hours to attend the funeral of his or her aunt or uncle, niece or nephew. The Hospital, in its discretion, may extend such leave with or without pay. Bereavement Leave. Any A regular or project employee who notifies the Hospital as soon as possible following bereavement will shall normally be granted bereavement leave for four (4) regularly scheduled consecutive working work days off compassionate leave without loss of regular pay from regularly scheduled hours salary or wages in conjunction with the case of the death of the a parent, spouse, childbrother, or parent. Any employee who notifies the Hospital as soon as possible following a bereavement will be granted bereavement leave for three (3) consecutive working days off without loss of regular pay from regularly scheduled hours in conjunction with the death of the sister, brotherchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son- or of any second degree relative who has been residing in the same household. Where the funeral or service is delayed the employee will, upon request, be allowed to separate the days of leave to coincide with the date of the funeral service. An employee who is on vacation and becomes entitled to bereavement leave in accordance with this clause shall, upon request, be allowed to substitute bereavement leave for vacation. A regular or project employee shall normally be granted one (1) regularly scheduled work day of compassionate leave without loss of salary or wages in the case of the death of an employee's brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparentgrandparent or grandchild or any one for whom the employee is the primary care giver. Where burial occurs outside of the city, grandchildsuch leave shall also include reasonable traveling time, brother-in-law, sister-in-law or grandparent the latter not to exceed an additional two (2) days. (a) Any employee who notifies the Hospital Employer as soon as possible following bereavement will be granted bereavement leave for four five (45) consecutive working days off without loss of regular pay from regularly scheduled hours in conjunction with the death of the a spouse, child, or parent. /step parents.
