Blood Bank. The City agrees to enroll represented employees in the City of Oakland Blood Bank Program as described below.
Blood Bank. If an employee’s work schedule is such that it does not allow sufficient time to donate blood for the local blood bank, the District shall arrange to allow sufficient time for this purpose without loss of pay. This section shall apply to employees whose work assignment exceeds six (6) hours daily.
Blood Bank. (Applies to SB1, SC1, SD1, and SI1) The City agrees to enroll unit members in the City of Oakland Blood Bank Program as described below.
Blood Bank. Employees who volunteer in an emergency to donate blood shall be excused and compensated at their regular straight-time rate for travel time and actual time spent donating.
Blood Bank. Upon application by the unit member to the Blood Bank of Delaware/Eastern Shore, the Board shall contribute to the initial cost and subsequent membership a sum not to exceed $5.00 per member per year.
Blood Bank. The District agrees to continue its participation in the Blood Bank of the Alameda/Contra Costa County Medical Association Community Blood Plan for the duration of the Agreement.
Blood Bank. (a) Eastern Michigan University Administrative, Professional and Technical staff may continue to participate in the blood bank program, subject to the terms of the program as may be provided in conjunction with the American Red Cross.
Blood Bank. 26.1 The City will schedule the Blood Mobile to visit OPD Training Facility twice annually. If work schedules permit employees on duty may participate in the City’s Blood Bank Program.
26.2 In the event of an emergency request for blood donations, bargaining unit employees may donate blood for this purpose and if necessary, may request an additional one (1) hour time off with pay.
26.3 The time used for purposes of donating blood will be paid at the straight time rate of pay and will not be considered as time worked for purposes of overtime compensation.
Blood Bank. 36.1 At the discretion of a supervisor, an employee may be allowed to donate blood on-duty in non-emergency situations at the Blood Banks in Xxxxxx County.
36.2 To donate in emergency situations, employees will contact their supervisors for approval.
Blood Bank. An employee may be granted time off with pay to donate blood/plasma when the Blood Bank is in the local area provided that such time off is scheduled so it will not unduly impact on the day-to-day service delivery of Council.
