Broken duty periods. Where practicable, no broken duty periods shall be worked. However, when such broken duty periods are necessary, a total of 8 hours shall only be worked over 2 duty periods and shall be worked within a spread of 12 hours, of 2 equal duty periods of 4 hours each, or a period of 5 hours and 3 hours. Broken duty periods shall only be worked where there is mutual agreement between the Employer and employee.
