Bunk Rooms. There shall be eight (8) Bunk Rooms designed to be private and inviting with design considerations to provide little sound transmittance between rooms. Additionally, DB’s design shall provide four (4) additional rooms to be utilized as “flexible” spaces until such time additional Bunk Rooms are necessary and can be easily converted to such. Rooms shall be able to accommodate four (4) full-height, wardrobe lockers, measuring 2’x2’x8’, for variable fire personnel personal storage. DB shall also incorporate space for an extra-large, twin-sized bed with frame, a nightstand and a built-in desk with chair for personal use. Design- Builder to position Bunk Rooms, Kitchen and Day Room within the Station to rapidly access the Apparatus Bay. Bunk Rooms shall be designed to limit exterior noise and provide sound attenuation from common areas of the Station and Apparatus Bays. Owner requires hard lids in the Bunk Rooms. Low intensity lights shall illuminate the Rooms during normal operations, with egress lighting systems provided for emergency response.
