Common use of Carry Forward of Vacation Clause in Contracts

Carry Forward of Vacation. An employee may carry forward to another year any proportion of annual leave not taken by him/her in previous years until, by so doing, he/she has accumulated a maximum of: (1) 160 hours annual leave, if he is eligible for 160 hours in any year; (2) 200 hours annual leave, if he is eligible for 200 hours in any year; (3) 240 hours annual leave if he is eligible for 240 hours in any year. Employees who are prohibited from taking annual leave because of Workers' Compensation benefits or extended sick leave shall be allowed to carry forward additional days.
