Certification of Drug-Free Workplace Program. The State supports and encourages initiatives to keep the workplaces of Florida‘s Suppliers and Prime Contractors drug free. Section 287.087 of the Florida Statutes provides that, where identical tie responses are received, preference shall be given to a response received from a Respondent that certifies it has implemented a drug-free workforce program. If applicable, Respondent shall certify that the Respondent has a drug-free workplace program using the ―Certification of Drug-Free Workplace‖ as provided in Sourcing Tool for this solicitation. The Prime Contractor shall describe how it will address the implementation of a drug free workplace in offering the items of the solicitation. Certification shall be submitted (in the Sourcing Tool) using the form in Section 7.6.

Certification of Drug-Free Workplace Program. Supplier is committed to providing a workplace free from the harmful effects of drug and alcohol abuse. The Company conducts pre-employment job applicant drug tests designed to prevent the hiring of individuals who use illegal drugs or misuse alcohol or prescription medication. If a job applicant refuses to test, has a positive confirmed drug test, or tampers with or adulterates a drug specimen, the applicant/employee will forfeit eligibility for employment. New employees are also notified that during their employment, drug tests will continue to be administered on a periodic, random basis. Our Drug-Free workplace policy is detailed and clearly stated in our Employee Handbook. Upon hire, all employees are required to sign an Acknowledgement and Agreement regarding their understanding of the policy and consent to initial and ongoing drug tests, as requested. In addition, notification of our Drug-Free status is posted in a common area with other employee communications.
