Chapel Chairperson. 40.01 The name of the Chapel Chairperson shall be supplied by the Union to the Company, who shall be advised forthwith of any change. The number of Chapel Chairpersons shall be no more than three (3) in each Chapel. 40.02 The Company shall recognize the Chapel Chairperson as the Union’s representative in their plant, and through them shall attempt to resolve any differences concerning this Collective Agreement. 40.03 The Chapel Chairperson shall not be discriminated against in the performance of their duties. 40.04 Should a Chapel Chairperson desire to confer with a full time Union Officer regarding a matter under discussion, they shall be permitted to do so with the consent of Management, which shall not be unreasonably withheld. 40.05 A Chapel Chairperson shall not be discharged except for good and sufficient reason, and if requested by them, the reason shall be given in writing.

Chapel Chairperson. 35.01 The names of the Chapel Chairpersons shall be supplied by the Union to the Employer, who shall be advised forthwith of any change. The Company recognizes four (4) Chapel Chairpersons plus two (2) Assistant Chapel Chairpersons. It is understood that the Union will designate two (2) of the above to serve as representatives on the Joint Labour Management Committee.
Chapel Chairperson. 7.01 The names of the Chapel Chairpersons shall be supplied by the Union to the Company who shall be advised forthwith of any change. The Company recognizes two (2) Chapel Chairpersons plus two (2) Alternate Chapel Chairpersons. It is understood that the Union will designate two (2) of the above to serve as representatives of the Joint Labour/Management Committee. The Company shall recognize the Chapel Chairpersons as the Union’s representative and through them shall attempt to resolve any difference concerning this Collective Agreement. They shall not be discriminated against in the performance of their duties. Should the Chapel Chairperson (maximum of two (2) at any one time) desire to confer with a full-time Union officer regarding the matter under discussion or fulfill the duties mentioned herein, they shall be permitted to do so with the consent of Management, the Supervisor and/or Human Resources Manager or Plant General Manager which shall not be unreasonably withheld. It is further agreed that the Chapel Chairpersons designated by the Union (maximum of two (2) at any one time) shall be entitled to leave their work to carry out their functions under the Collective Agreement including the investigation of grievances and participation in negotiations with the consent of Management. 7.02 The Company shall grant leaves of absence without pay to an employee for the purpose of attending meetings, committees, conferences or conventions to which he is elected or delegated by the Union, providing twenty-one (21) calendar days notice has been given by the employee to Management. 7.03 The Company agrees to provide a bulletin board in a mutually satisfactory place for official Union notices. Any notices must be approved by Human Resources prior to posting.

  • Chairperson The committee chairperson shall be determined by a majority vote of the committee members.

  • Chair The Chair of the Union/Management Committee shall alternate between an Employer representative and a representative of the Union.

Teachers shall have the right to refuse such appointment. Team leaders will have coordinating and planning functions for their teams and shall serve as liaison between their teams and the principal.
