CHOREOGRAPHER’S CONTRACTS. At the beginning of each Season, the Engager will send to Equity a list of all choreographers engaged for the current season.

(A) Terms and Conditions
CHOREOGRAPHER’S CONTRACTS. Choreographers shall be compensated for their work as Choreographers and may receive royalties as provided herein in addition to any and all compensation which may be due them hereunder for their work as Dancers, Stage Managers, Stage Directors, or their Assistants. The EMPLOYER shall make a written agreement with such Choreographers containing the terms and conditions, upon which the Choreographer agrees to compose choreography for the EMPLOYER and the EMPLOYER agrees to engage the Choreographer to compose choreography and to compensate him therefor not less than One Thousand ($1,000.00) Dollars per ballet in addition to a royalty of not less than One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars per performance. The provisions of this Sub-Paragraph 11.(h) may be modified by mutual agreement.
CHOREOGRAPHER’S CONTRACTS. Choreographers shall be compensated for their work as Choreographers, in addition to any and all compensation which may be due them hereunder for their work as Dancer, Stage Director, Stage Manager, or Assistant. CHOREOGRAPHER’S CONTRACTS. Choreographers shall be compensated for their work as Choreographers, in addition to any and all compensation which may be due them hereunder for their work as Dancer, Stage Director, Stage Manager, or Assistant. The EMPLOYER shall make a written agreement with such Choreographers containing the terms and conditions upon which the Choreographer agrees to compose choreography. The EMPLOYER agrees to engage the Choreographer to compose choreography and to compensate them at not less than the minimum rates set forth below. The EMPLOYER further agrees that nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to prevent any Choreographer from negotiating for or obtaining better terms than the minimum terms provided for herein.
a. For a dance piece choreographed by a NEW Choreographer, choreographing their first ballet for the EMPLOYER:

CHOREOGRAPHER’S CONTRACTS. Coverage of Choreographers under this agreement applies only to current company members acting as Choreographers. Choreographers shall be compensated for their work as Choreographers, in addition to any and all compensation which may be due them hereunder for their work as Dancer, Stage Director, or Stage Management Staff. The EMPLOYER shall enter into a written agreement with such Choreographers containing the terms and conditions upon which the Choreographer agrees to compose choreography, and the EMPLOYER agrees to engage the Choreographer to compose choreography and to compensate them for such work not less than the following except for (d) below:
(a) For a dance piece choreographed by a NEW Choreographer, choreographing their first ballet for the EMPLOYER: 2021-22 2022-23 2023-24* Fee: $2,901.35 $2,966.63 $3,025.96* Royalties per perf: $144.41 $147.66 $150.61*

(d) For any dance piece choreographed for San Francisco Ballet School, Choreographer shall receive no less than one thousand thirty dollars ($1030.00) for 2021-22, one thousand fifty-three dollars and eighteen cents ($1053.18) for 2022-23 and one thousand seventy-four dollars and twenty-four cents ($1074.24) for 2023-24, and a royalty of not less than twenty five dollars and seventy five cents ($25.75) for 2021-22, twenty six dollars and thirty three cents ($26.33) for 2022-23 and twenty six dollars and eighty six cents ($26.86) for 2023-24.
(e) All Fees and Royalties set forth above shall be for live public performances of the Ballet, and except for the limited archival and promotional uses described herein any further performances on or by means of television, film or other media shall be negotiated under a separate agreement.
(f) The EMPLOYER shall retain exclusive worldwide rights to perform the Ballet for a period of no more than three (3) years within a five (5) year period from the date of the premiere.
(g) At the time the piece is performed, EMPLOYER shall compensate the Choreographer no less than the applicable royalty rate set forth above.
