Civil Duty. Employees elected or appointed to any political or legislative position who request a leave of absence to perform their civic duty shall be granted a leave of absence with pay for the period necessary to fulfill their civic responsibilities. Employees shall be paid the difference, if any, between the compensation they receive and their wages for each day of service.
