College Faculty Development and Travel. Additionally, the University shall budget to each college Xxxx’x office the following sums times the number of bargaining unit members within that respective college: $550 times the number of full-time faculty members in the department. The Xxxx, in collaboration with the Department Chairs, on behalf of faculty members with additional travel opportunities, will allocate unencumbered funds for additional faculty development travel.

College Faculty Development and Travel. Additionally, the university shall budget to each College Xxxx’x office the sum of $500 times the number of bargaining unit members within that respective college. For planning purposes, each member of the bargaining unit must provide the department chair with information on her/his anticipated development/travel plans by December 15 of the academic year. Travel plans shall include the name of conference, dates of conference, faculty member’s expected participation, and estimated costs. The Xxxx, in collaboration with the Department Chairs, on behalf of faculty members with additional travel opportunities, will allocate unencumbered funds for additional faculty development travel. Funds shall be allocated subject to the normal university standards for allowability.

Related to College Faculty Development and Travel

  • Faculty Development Faculty who develop and/or teach Distance Education courses shall be provided with reasonable technical support and opportunities for Faculty development, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In the event that a Faculty member develops and/or teaches a Distance Education course for the first time, the Faculty member shall receive reasonable and appropriate professional development and technical support assistance, consistent with the needs of the Faculty and availability of Board resources and services for that purpose. In instances of succeeding assignments to teach Distance Education courses, the Faculty member is expected to demonstrate a level of technical competence sufficient to teach the course. Ongoing technical support assistance may be available to Faculty who teach succeeding offerings of the same course.

  • Professional Development and Training 4.1 The purpose of professional development and training requirements for interpreters is to maintain the skill levels interpreters possess at the time they pass their interpreter certification examination, and to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Both the State and the Union encourage interpreters to complete training and continuing education activities.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers.

  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. The Board agrees to implement the following:

  • Community Development 1. Support the mission of Residence Life & Housing in building a strong community on all levels.

  • Policy Development 2.2.1 LIDDA shall develop and implement policies to address the needs of the LSA in accordance with state and federal laws. The policies shall include consideration of public input, best value, and individual care issues.

  • Professional Development Plan Professional Development Plan (PDP) refers to plans developed by faculty members addressing the criteria contained in Article 22 and Appendix G.

  • Skills Development The Company acknowledges the changing pace of technology in the electrical contracting industry and the need for employees to understand those changes and have the necessary skill requirements to keep the Company at the forefront of the industry. The Parties to this Agreement recognise that in order to increase the efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of the Company, a commitment to training and skill development is required. Accordingly, the parties commit themselves to:

  • Professional Development Funds 23.1.1 Two Professional Development Funds, a Professional Development Support Fund and an Education Leave Fund, shall be established to support professional development activities as defined in 23.2. On April 1st of each year, the College will allocate an amount equal to no less than 0.9% of total faculty salary (exclusive of severance payments) to the Professional Development Support Fund, and an amount equal to no less than 0.6% of total faculty salary to the Educational Leave Fund.
