COMMENDATION PAID LEAVE. 34.1 A department director, upon approval by the City Manager, or designee, may grant up to forty (40) hours of paid leave to any employee whose job performance is of such exemplary or heroic nature as to warrant this special consideration. This Article shall not be subject to the grievance procedure or arbitration.

COMMENDATION PAID LEAVE. Section 1. Each Officer of the Month who is selected by the Awards Committee, as currently constituted, shall receive a fifty-dollar ($50.00) gift certificate. The Officer of the Year, who shall be selected by the Awards Committee from among those who have been named Officer of the Month, shall receive one (1) day off with pay.
COMMENDATION PAID LEAVE. The Mayor, upon the recommendation of the Chief of Police, shall provide an employee paid leave for each commendation in the following manner: Officer of the Month--10 hours for use within a calendar year of date of commendation. Officer of the Quarter--20 hours for use within a calendar year of date of commendation. Officer of the Year--40 hours for use within a calendar year of date of commendation. Time provided under this section may not be accumulated, but must be taken off.

  • Parenthood Leave A. A regular, limited-term or probationary employee shall be granted, upon request, a Parenthood Leave Without Pay of up to six (6) months in connection with the birth or placement for legal adoption of a child provided the employee meets the following conditions:

  • Parenting Leave Parenting Leave consists of Maternity Leave and Parental Leave. Parental Leave includes Paternity and Adoption Leave. An employee who qualifies for Maternity Leave may apply for such leave in accordance with Maternity Leave “Plan A” or Maternity Leave “Plan B” but not both.

  • Commencement of Parental Leave Subject to subsection 24.07, Parental Leave in Addition to Maternity Leave, parental leave must commence no later than the first anniversary date of the birth or adoption of the child, or of the date on which the child comes into the actual care and custody of the employee.

  • Supplemental Employment Benefit for Maternity and Parental Leave 8.5.1 Effective April 1, 2002, when on maternity or parental leave, an employee will receive a supplemental payment added to Employment Insurance benefits as follows:
