Common use of Commitment to Part-Time Employees Clause in Contracts

Commitment to Part-Time Employees. Part-time Employees who are covered by this Agreement may be requested by the Employer to work more than regularly scheduled hours, for example for relief during vacation periods, at Christmas/New Year’s season, and on alternate paid holidays, and to replace an Employee who is absent for a scheduled shift, if requested at any of these times. It is understood that the Employer will recognize the integrity of the part- time position and will not make unreasonable requests for additional work by part-time Employees.
