Employees are expected to participate in making decisions and solving problems within their area of expertise. Open communication is our way of doing things. Employees are to be kept fully informed and updated on issues affecting their work areas, and Employee knowledge is recognised and regularly sought as an essential contribution to decision making. This open communication allows for Employees to ask questions and express concerns about changes and issues. There is an acknowledgement that change will be an ongoing process for the City and that any change affecting staff and the workplace will be undertaken through close consultation between the City and affected Employees. All Employees shall positively support the development and implementation of a continuous improvement model. There is a commitment on the part of the City that any change will be adequately resourced and implemented through a spirit of goodwill.
